Many people think it is all fun and games when we travel as travel agents. While we enjoy our time away, it is not all beaches and margaritas (although I definitely do enjoy a good spicy margarita).

I am in Cancun and the Riviera Maya this week touring hotels so that our guests know what to expect when they travel here. I’ve met with our transfer drivers and toured 14 resorts all in the first two days!

I’m looking forward to spending the next few days with the amazing and her team at & really exploring and experiencing their amazing resorts.

Friday I am back on the road for a sneak peak at the all new and 3 more beautiful properties followed by my last 2 more resorts Saturday before heading home on Sunday.

Total resorts to be toured this trip - 23!

Maybe you’re now wearing a little bit of that PB&J milkshake from 50's Prime Time Cafe 🧋or perhaps decided to beat the airline baggage fee and only packed three shirts in a carry-on for a 7-day vacation in August🥵.

Either way, the laundry facilities at Walt Disney World Resort hotels come in handy and they are pretty high-tech. Everything you need can be purchased from a vending machine, you can pay with a card (no quarters needed) and monitor your laundry via the LaundryView app.

One of my favorite things about having laundry on-site or services available (think cruising) is to do a few loads so that I can return home laundry-free. This definitely helps with those nasty post-trip blues.

Do you know what's awesome about Disneyland, aside from, well, everything?

The Picnic Area!

Whether you're all about sticking to your diet, managing allergies, or just savvy about saving money, Disneyland sees you. This shady haven, complete with large lockers you can rent to hold your provisions and supplies, is located just outside of Disneyland Park and just a short walk away from Disney California Adventure. Hauling your food around isn’t always easy, but Disneyland makes it so convenient!

Of course, we’re obsessed with Disneyland snacks and dining options, but let’s be real, sometimes a quiet picnic is just the recharge you need before diving back into the magical chaos of rides, parades, and character meet-and-greets. You may be tempted to pass on visiting the Conversation Station because it requires that you take the Wildlife Express train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch. That all may sound time-consuming, a little confusing, and maybe, dare I say, boring.

BUT, you would be missing out on experiencing the literal heartbeat of Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park and making lasting memories. Here, you can actually touch animals at the Affection Section, peek at veterinarians treating animals in exam rooms, watch as nutrition experts prepare meals, get your fill of reptiles and invertebrates, see what Disney scientists are currently working on, ask the experts anything, AND learn how to draw a Disney character. How’s that for edutainment?

🚨ATTENTION PARK HOPPERS!🚨

Exciting news coming out today from Walt Disney World! 📰

Since 2021 Park hopping has been limited, with no hopping til after 2pm daily; BUT Stating January 9th 2024 that limitation is A THING OF THE PAST!

Guests with a Park Hopper Ticket or an Annual Pass will be able to once again visit another theme park at any time of day during park hours (subject to capacity limitations).

Now you can finally go back to visiting parks when you want!

There’s never been a better time to make sure your tickets are park hoppers! 🎠🎢

Even after all of these years (17 this month!), Expedition Everest remains one of the greatest thrill rides at Walt Disney World. From the ominous lost expedition artifacts in the queue to the heart-pounding initial incline and all the escape-from-the-Yeti twists, turns, and drops in between, this attraction is an emotional roller coaster with a PhotoPass photo to document the experience!

Are you holding the bags while the rest take off on their exciting expedition? Grab a spot just to the right of the gift shop and pull out your phone to grab a great photo of your riders coming down the big drop.

It's National Grilled Cheese Day and I HAVE to shout out the buffalo chicken grilled cheese at the ABC Commissary at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It is cheesy and spicy and oh-so-delicious. It is definitely one of my must-eats each time we go to Walt Disney World.

It might be easy to pass by on your speed walk to Hogsmeade, but when the pangs of hunger strike at Islands of Adventure, circle back to Confisco Grille for lunch or dinner.

The "global fare" menu may sound intimidating to picky eaters, but they have plenty of options and a solid kid-friendly menu that picky adults are welcome to order from. THE BEST PART... the whole family can team up in search of all of the "confiscated" goods from the Islands of Adventure park that decorate the interior. So fun!

Universal isn't exactly known for its dining, but it has some fantastic restaurants you may not know about. When you're ready to plan your visit next trip to Universal Orlando Resort, let's do it together so you don't miss a single thing!

You're going to want to save this in your "must do at Disneyland" file. Snow White's Grotto and Wishing Well in Disneyland (on the right side if you are looking from the front) is more than just a pretty space.

A few times each hour, you can hear Snow White singing "I'm Wishing" and her voice echoing back from inside the wishing well. Guests are encouraged to make wishes and toss coins into the well which are then donated to children's charities. In fact, there is an inscription on the well that reads "Your wishes will help children everywhere."

This area is extra special because Walt Disney dedicated this area himself on April 9, 1961, with the help of 25 children from around the world.

Back on April 6, 2017 "Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon" replaced the iconic Twister attraction at Universal Studios. What do you think, should some of those nostalgic movie attractions hang around or are you all for new and different attractions coming to Universal?

Can't make it to New York for a taping of the always funny and ever quirky Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show? No worries, Universal has you covered as you literally race through the city as if you are on the ULTIMATE episode of The Tonight Show. You may think this would be a tame adventure...but beware, it's not for the faint of...stomach.

Be sure to spend some time inside browsing the collection cases of all the past hosts of The Tonight Show.

Arrrgh mateys, let's talk Pirate Night!

On most sailings of 4 nights or more, on all Disney Cruise Line ships, there will be a Pirate Night! In addition to the party, characters, and fireworks; a special menu is offered at all of the sit-down restaurants. It may seem like something just for the kids, but adults are equally encouraged to take part in all the festivities!

You don't have to have a green thumb to enjoy EPCOT's Behind the Seeds tour, just a fan of the "Living with the Land" attraction and well...maybe even just eating. This tour isn't a burden on your wallet or your schedule with its $35 price tag and hour-long tour time. Plus, you get to see some really cool backstage areas. On this tour, they let you take pictures, which is usually not the case on tours that go behind the scenes.

You'll learn a lot about sustainable agriculture and all that Disney does to reduce their carbon footprint through growing their own food. But truly, the star of this tour is the 21-year-old Mickey plant and the Mickey Mouse cucumber mold.

Welcome to Three Broomsticks, where you will feel like Harry or Hagrid could come walking through the door at any moment. Located in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Hogsmeade in Islands of Adventure, this quick-service dining location serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

For breakfast, enjoy traditional English or American options. At lunch and dinner, you will feast on shepherd’s pie, fish and chips, chicken, ribs, turkey leg, Butterbeer, and pumpkin juice.

PRO TIP: At Three Broomsticks lines to order and receive food can get LONG at peak meal times. Try to eat at off times; don’t wait until a hangry meltdown is coming and pack your patience!
