Time for a travel tip!
If you are travelling internationally (or some longer North American routes) with a baby under one year make sure you request the bassinet seat! Your baby will likely have to be under 20 lbs to use the bassinet seat but even without the bassinet you get the bulkhead seats with more leg room. Depending on the airline you may have to pay to guarantee this row however most will still allow you to put in a request where you can have it if available.

It has been a while since I posted on this page because life has just been so busy! However I just wanted to share this unique deal with you since we fell in love with Alaska 2 years ago on the Wonder.
First, there are 2 sailings that are currently eligible for the Canadian resident discount which makes them pretty reasonably priced (compared to other Disney cruises)
Second, they sail from Vancouver so it’s super easy to get there
Third, there is still availability in the adjoining ‘secret porthole’ rooms! These cabins are priced as interior cabins but actually have an obstructed ocean view! This is a huge cost savings vs booking an oceanview directly.

Travel tip #2 of the day
Bid on airline upgrades on the parts of your trip that give the most benefit.
I booked my current trip with aeroplan points in premium economy cabin. YQR-YYZ-MCO.
I was able to bid on an upgrade for the YYZ to MCO leg and my bid was accepted for an upgrade to business class. This upgrade allowed me priority security access and full lounge access before my flight. This probably saved me 1 hour + in the security line and full breakfast before my flight.

Travel tip of the day 1/2
If you are travelling through a Canadian airport where you have to clear US customs download the MPC app from US Customs and Border Patrol. There are dedicated lines for people who have pre-submitted their forms using the app.
I had zero customs wait this morning during the busy morning hours at yyz. It was great!

A 30 second look cruising toward Dawes Glacier!
Truthfully, our family was really on the fence about an Alaskan cruise. We were seriously considering a Caribbean one but timing just wasn’t working out very well so we decided to try Alaska. Up until we got on the ship we still weren’t sure that this was the right choice for a family with 3 small kids.
It was this glacier day where we knew that we 100% made the right choice. The scenery was amazing and the wildlife too. If you watch really closely you may be able to see some seals on the icebergs and in the water in this clip. Truly spectacular and I will 100% recommend Alaska to travellers of all ages!

If you are ever planning a trip to Oahu, Hawaii this little cove (by Paradise Cove luau in ko olina) is absolutely worth a stop! We went twice this trip and both times saw lots of friendly sea turtles and Hawaiian monk seals! Absolutely amazing!
