We had an awesome first tour on Sunday afternoon!! Along with taking in the beautiful landscape, which by the way comes free with the tour, our guests lived history with us.

Happy sunny Saskatchewan afternoon!! We’re less than 24 hours away from our first tour. If you have not yet confirmed your participation you can by texting 306-852-7747. We will love having you be part of our first tour. Sharing our passion for Saskatchewan history is what motivates us.

For those not wanting to commit, we will be just outside the entrance of Batoche National Historic Site.

Obviously, weather is a Saskatchewan variable we can’t control. We’ll have updates closer to departure time.

The story of Batoche starts long before the Battle of 1885. Visit the sites where the story of the Métis in the region of the South Saskatchewan River took root. Learn from guides who are professionals in the field and passionately interested in Saskatchewan’s stories.

Additionally, visit Tourond’s Coulee where the first engagement between General Middleton’s Canadian forces and the Métis took place. Walk in the footsteps of the men on both sides who found themselves in this military engagement for different reasons.

Visit the lesser-known camp area where General Middleton trained his troops after the first engagement, prior to the advance on Batoche.
