Simala Shrine is one of the well-known religious place in the Philippines where thousands of devotees visit the shrine.

Simala is a place for people who believes in miracles. This place has been known to be miraculous. The church is very popular among believers not only because it is considered the home of the image of the miraculous Virgin but also because the place is truly amazing and spectacular.

The sculptures and architecture inside Simala Shrine Church are also the most interesting things you can find and enjoy with, aside from praying and showing devotion to the Virgin.

Pilgrimages or visiting religious places is one of the most important aspects that most Filipino Catholics have. This aspect keeps their faith alive and keeps them going despite all the challenges in life.

We can help you to have a whole day tour in Simala, from your accomodation to Simala (whole Day Tour) and back to your accommodation.

This is a requirement of the Philippine Government authorities for ALL international and domestic passengers, whether arriving in or departing from any airport in the Philippines, to enable health authorities to notify travelers who may have had contact with a COVID-19 patient.

Passengers who do not have mobile phones or any other mobile gadgets may go to the Traze Helpdesk, located near the terminal entrance in all Philippine airports and at the arrival area of international airports, for registration assistance and QR code printing. Passengers traveling to the Philippines from overseas countries are advised to download the app before they embark on their trip.

For all international travelers: Please check the most updated travel regulations in the government website of your destination country, as well as your country of departure. These governmental regulations may change frequently and may have an impact on the status of your flight or your acceptance for boarding. For more information, please click: https://bit.ly/PALTravelsFromPH.

For all domestic travelers: Please check with the local government offices of both your origin point and your final destination on travel requirements, such as mandated documents or health certifications. NEW OPTION - TAKE YOUR RT-PCR TEST AT PAL'S NEW TESTING FACILITIES
Passengers departing on PAL international and domestic flights from Manila may undergo RT-PCR and Antigen testing at the Philippine Airlines Learning Center (PLC) located at 540 Padre Faura cor. Adriatico St. Ermita, Manila or PAL Gate 3 located at Andrews Avenue, Pasay City also offers Antigen testing. This is a partnership with Detoxicare Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory.

The PAL testing center provides drive-thru or walk-in RT-PCR testing from 8AM to 5PM daily at a cost of PHP 3,300 for RT-PCR tests with results released within 24 hours, and PHP 700 for Antigen tests with results released in 30 minutes. Payment options are: cash (PHP currency only), card (debit/credit), GCash, PayPAL, WeChatPay, or Alipay. Starting January 15, 2021, passengers may also pre-pay for their COVID-19 tests online.

Upon entering our PAL Testing Facilities for your COVID-19 test, please present your ID, plane ticket, payment confirmation (if prepaid), and QR code indicating that you have successfully registered the Passenger Profile and Health Declaration Form online.

GUIDELINES FOR AFFECTED PASSENGERS:
If your flight is cancelled, we wish to assure you that your current tickets are safe and remain valid. For details on your options, please see here: http://bit.ly/PaxOptions.

If you need to take another RT-PCR test for your new flight schedule, you may undergo RT-PCR testing at PAL's own testing facility at PAL Learning Center or PAL Gate 3 (see above information on "NEW OPTION - TAKE YOUR RT-PCR TEST AT PAL'S NEW TESTING CENTER").

Flying Safely in the ‘New Normal’
PAL is strictly implementing Fly Safe “new normal” practices to protect our passengers, in compliance with international health and safety protocols.
Please bring your own face masks and face shields and wear them at all times – at the airport and throughout your flight.
We encourage you to check-in online and arrive early at the airport to allocate extra time for new safety procedures– at least 3 hours prior to departure for domestic flights; and 4 hours prior to departure for international flights.
Our cabin crew would have undergone medical evaluation prior to their duty, and will be wearing full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for your protection on board the flight. A modified meal and snack service will be offered on board, using sealed packaging instead of traditional meals.
Don’t worry about the cabin air --- all PAL aircraft are equipped with high-technology systems that continuously infuse fresh air across the cabin (cabin air is replaced every 2 to 3 minutes), as well as HEPA filters that trap viruses, bacteria and other contaminants with 99.9% efficiency. The onboard air creates a cleaner environment that is safer than most enclosed public spaces and comparable to hospital operating rooms.
For more information, please see here: https://bit.ly/PALKeepsYouSafe

SPECIAL REMINDER TO CHECK ON UPDATES:
This is a developing situation, and it is quite possible that our plans and schedules may change in response to evolving travel restrictions and quarantine limitations at arrival airports. Kindly check our website www.philippineairlines.com, or follow our social media accounts, so that you'll be updated the moment we release advisories on new developments.

PH GOV'T ISSUES NEW RULES ON TESTING/QUARANTINE FOR PASSENGERS FROM COUNTRIES WITH UK VARIANT

The Philippine government's Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging and Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has revised the testing and quarantine protocols for passengers (Filipino citizens and eligible non-Filipinos) arriving in the Philippines from countries where travel restrictions are in place due to new COVID-19 variants.

Effective January 23, 2021, passengers arriving in the Philippines from countries covered by travel restrictions shall be given RT-PCR testing upon arrival and shall be given the option to avail of a second swab test on their 5th day of quarantine.

PROCEDURES

1) Passengers arriving in the Philippines are required to register on Case Investigation Forms depending on their traveler type and port of entry:

For sea-based OFWs arriving in Manila: https://ecif.firstaide.ph

For non-OFWs and eligible non-Filipinos arriving in Manila, swab testing will be carried out by the PAL One Stop Shop for a fee of PHP 4,000. (Discounts for Sr.Citizens and PWDs apply)

2) Passengers will proceed to their respective quarantine facilities or hotels.

3) When passengers swabbed under the PAL OSS receive a negative test, they shall receive an email providing them the option to either avail of a second swab test by PAL testing partner Detoxicare Molecular and Diagnostics Laboratory on the 5th day of quarantine or to continue their quarantine stay up to the 14th day.

Passengers who choose to avail of the second swab test by Detoxicare will register on the email. They may pre-pay online or onsite. The pre-payment link is included in the e-mail.

Note: OFW passsengers swabbed under the government OSS will be guided accordingly by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

2) A passenger who tests negative on the second swab test must register via the DOH-BOQ Certificate Page to receive his/her quarantine and medical certificate. Passenger will present the two negative test results and the certificate for clearance and check out from the hotel. Completion of the 14-day quarantine at home under the monitoring of one's Local Government Unit is highly encouraged.

3) A passenger who tests positive on the second swab test will be provided proper guidance by the BOQ on the succeeding steps.

FOR PASSENGERS ALREADY IN QUARANTINE

PAL passengers swabbed under the PAL OSS and who are already in quarantine for a minimum of 5 days will receive an e-mail providing them the option to either avail of a second swab test by PAL testing partner Detoxicare Molecular and Diagnostics Laboratory, or to continue their quarantine stay up to the 14th day.

Effective January 23 and onwards, RT-PCR testing for passengers on their 5th day of quarantine in stringent quarantine hotels will be rolled out.

EXEMPTED FROM TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS

The Philippine government's latest directive also expanded the coverage of exemptions from current restrictions on inbound travel to the Philippines from countries with cases of the UK covid variant.

Exempted from the passenger ban on inbound travel to the Philippines are:

• Foreign nationals with valid visas, which include personnel of accredited international organizations,

• Spouse and minor children of Filipino citizens traveling with them,

• Persons arriving for medical and emergency cases, including their medical escorts, if any,

The said passengers are now subject to applicable testing and quarantine protocols as prescribed by the Department of Health (DOH).

EASING OF AGE RESTRICTIONS

The IATF is relaxing age-based restrictions for areas placed under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) beginning February 1, 2021.

According to IATF Resolution 95, any person below ten (10) years old and those who are over sixty-five (65) years of age shall be required to remain in their residence at all times. Local government units (LGUs), on the other hand, are being enjoined to adopt the same relaxation of age-restrictions for areas under General Community Quarantine (GCQ).

All Locally Stranded Individuals (LSI), Returning Overseas Filipino (ROF) and Authorized Persons Outside Residence (APOR) should travel via Kalibo, instead of via Caticlan. Please check with your local government units for the latest updates.

Kindly take note of the additional requirements needed for leisure travel. This is the information we have available as of the moment, but may be subject to change. We continue to send pre-flight reminders using the email addresses guests have used in their bookings.
