Let's talk travel agents

Amy and Tom are looking to book the exact same trip. Amy decides to book on her own and pays $1200. Tom decides to book with a travel agent and he pays $1200. Yup. Exact same. Amy has one of her bags go missing while traveling and ends up spending two hours on the phone trying to get her bag. Tom also loses a bag but because he booked with an agent he throws on the swim trunks he was told to pack in his carry on and sips a mai tai while his agent tracks his bags down. Yup. An agent is there to help so you can get on with your relaxing:). Same price paid, but Tom got way better service. Be a Tom:). Why book trips on your own?

We’ve heard so many times since becoming a travel agent “I just book my trips online myself, it’s easy”. So two things:). One, yes it’s easy, wanna know why? Because then the big corporation ie. WestJet doesn’t have to pay an agent their commission. So you are paying the exact same price but allowing the corporation to keep it all. Two. When something goes wrong you lose valuable travel time dealing with issues on your own instead of just contacting your booking agent, sipping drinks on the beach and letting us deal with the issue. And we will add a three:). Why not support your friend and get kick ass service at the same time❤️
