Love this place and their charcuterie! Such a great place to hang out for the afternoon with the family. The kids love the slip and slide and the bouncy pillow and mom and dad love the sparkling zin. Win-win.
3 beautiful locations: Osoyoos, Nanaimo and Victoria.

We’re doing some maintenance at our Nanaimo location this weekend and thought we would take a little break.

We checked out the https://www.chinesecanadianmuseum.ca/
today in Canada’s oldest Chinatown. The museum was staffed with enthusiastic volunteers who provided us an opportunity to learn about Chinese Canadian heritage.
Breakfast just across the street from our Victoria location. Tried the Mexican omelette with egg whites and no cheese. Yummy!
Still one of our favorite spots in Nanaimo.
Video tour of the new Victoria location.
We have added a Victoria location! This studio apartment is ideally located in downtown Victoria right on the harbour. This is within easy walking distance to everything. Contact us for more details.
We went to see our friends at Brechin Lanes again. Today it was everybody's birthday, what a great concept!
We found the best perogies in Nanaimo! You gotta try this place out.
Does it really need a caption? I think this picture says it all!

Happy Easter!
This is a great intermediate hike. There are some pretty intense elevation changes at the start, but it does really level out at a point. We did it as an out and back for an hour, did not complete the whole hike listed as 7.7km. Exceptional views of the whole valley, and great news, located at Tin Horn Creek Winery. So you can get your hike in and then go for a wine tasting. Lots of parking, trails are well marked, washrooms at parking lot but none on the trail. We will do this one again!
Found a drop in indoor pool and hot tub for Osoyoos beach housers to use in the off season. They even offer aquatic fitness classes. 4 min drive or 30 min walk, less than 2km away from the beach house.
Hello spring! We’re exploring new things to do in Osoyoos this week. The Canal Walkway is an easy 3.6km loop. Took us 50 minutes to walk/hike. Mostly paved and flat, few areas are gravel, minor changes in elevation, no washrooms, parking at entrance, good reception cell service works throughout, several benches on the route if you want to bird watch or take a break.
We love this park! It’s walking distance from your beach house, is inclusive and has awesome views. We also see there is a nice beach that must be awesome in the summer. I think we took the kids here every day this week. Even one more good thing about Nanaimo, even when it rains, it’s not all day rain like Vancouver.
The good: atmosphere, service, sustainable farm to table, excellent food quality, half portions available, prices very reasonable. Bill was $100 for an appy, 3 half portions and a bottle of wine. I wanted to like this place, but the food was just the tiniest bit underwhelming. If you prefer great food but with mild and not necessarily bold flavors then this spot is for you. We are going to give it another shot and order other items. We will do an update next time we visit Nanaimo.
What should you do when it’s raining??? Go bowling of course. These guys had great customer service and a nice little cafe with adult bevies and things for kiddos too. These guys are pretty busy, you can call ahead to reserve AND it’s only 7 minutes away from your beach house!
Today’s adventures included chasing waterfalls, a gorgeous rainbow that my camera refused to capture 😩and ending up at Gabriel’s Gourmet cafe. Ammonite falls is an intermediate level multi elevation hike about 5km return. Took us 40 mins each way with a 4 and 8 year old in tow. We highly recommend this hike! Gabriel’s is a fantastic cafe actively practicing sustainability on multiple levels. They are farm to table as well as inclusive. They provide customers an option to purchase a soup token so that those in need have a dignified way to easily access a meal. Way to go Gabriel’s!
Today's adventures included Muffeo Sutton Park, Long Lake and Nori Japanese Restaurant. Long Lake is a great location nearby with some flat walking trails, a small playground and lots of parking. There is a paddling club on site and many areas to canoe and kayak. Nori was a hit. Very tiny place, make sure you make resos. The Tuna Pesto (I know it sounds strange, but trust me) and their dynamite rolls were the top two dishes we tried. Very fun vibe and friendly staff.
We checked out a fun brewery today. Very close to the Nanaimo beach house.
