Camp Jubilee and Indian Arm are now hiring for 2022!

Are you an experienced Passenger Vessel Captain? Enjoy working with Kids and want to be home every night?

Camp Jubilee Retreat and Conference Centre boasts over 128 acres situated on the scenic and majestic Indian Arm. A place to experience a truly west coast adventure all within a short distance of Vancouver.

As Camp Jubilee is only accessible by water we are looking to hire 1-2 Passenger Boat Captains(Full or Part Time) for our busy 2022 season from April - October. You will mainly shuttle children up to Camp Jubilee and back. We also offer Water Taxi and Tour services to the general public(through our operating partner Indian Arm Recreational Services Ltd). The vessels include 2-40 passenger vessels as well as a 12 passenger water taxi.

What we Offer:

- Work in a low stress environment transporting happy kids to camp!

- Free meals while at Camp!

- Mostly daytime operating hours!

- Regular days off and go home every night!

- Increase your marine hours on a 60 Ton Vessel

- Opportunities to work with our maintenance Crew at Camp in-between boat runs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Safe operation of the vessel including pre-trip and post trip inspections
Ensuring the vessel is “Guest Ready: at all times including cleaning in between runs and at the end of the day.
Completing necessary paperwork (i.e.log books)
Provide friendly and supportive Customer service.
Supervising and mentoring deck hands and camp staff while on board.
Perform minor vessel maintenance as required.
Ensure compliance with operational standards, Transport Canada, and other regulatory agencies.
Required Certifications/Experience:

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
Qualified Captain with a minimum of a Masters Limited 60 Ton certification
SVMO certification preferred
Minimum of Standard Marine First Aid/CPR C
Criminal Record check with vulnerable sector search
Note #1: Position could lead to a full time year round opportunity for the right candidate.

Note #2: Also accepting applications for SVOP boat operators as well as Deck hands.
