🎉 We’re getting close to our 2nd birthday celebration this Saturday, June 8th next door in Atlantic House Park and we’re super excited to announce we will be having an Emerald Light BBQ to add extra offerings to the day 🍔 (cash only, checkout the menu below! 👀)

Hiiii! It’s me Amanda and I am just here to say that over the past few years, I have made some significant changes in my life and I could not be happier with how things are going today. With the support and help of many I have officially started my own business where the possibilities are endless. To date Diamond Stays (shoutout to Taylor Shields for the name choice) has three short term rentals currently available through Air BnB and two long term rentals currently occupied by two of the best tenants a gal could ask for 🤍
My goals and dreams of owning more rental properties is coming to life and although it can be overwhelming at times, I am so proud and grateful that writing this post has me in tears. Hospitality is in my blood and I am doing what I love everyday!

This place would be perfect for a student or somebody looking for a spot to call home while here for work being just minutes away from the local college and shipyards. Or just come and relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Located in the heart of Shelburne beside the local walking trail, close to historic waterfront and all amenities. This two bedroom can sleep up to six; 2 queen beds and the couch converts to a queen bed. This beautiful spacious apartment has a full kitchen equipped with a dishwasher. You will have access to the washer and dryer along with the backyard, table, chairs and firepit. Located beside the local rails to trails walking path!

Shelburne is not only my home and close to my heart but it is also an amazing part of the province to explore and visit. This small fishing community is located on the South Shore of Nova Scotia and surrounded by the ocean and beautiful beaches.

Some of my favourite places to eat in the town of Shelburne are (keeping in mind this is a small touristy town sometimes places have limited hours and only open seasonally - so be sure to check while making plans):
>Emerald light (open 11-9pm, with local beer on tap, delicious original cocktails and tasty food to accompany)
>Charlotte Lane (famous but seasonal you should look them up, world renowned)
>Mr Fish (also has a fresh seafood market inside and also seasonal - dine in and take out available)
>Beandock (on the historic waterfront - the scallop wrap is to die for and the best homemade sweets)
>Scotia Lunch (the local greasy spoon open year round with the best clams and poutine going)
>A-1 Pizza (famous for their “bubba subs” I love ordering from here)
>Luongs Chinese (amazing chinese, so fresh!)
Boxing Rock Tap Room (calling all beer lovers this is a great local watering hole located just minutes from your air bnb)

If you want to venture a little further to the town or Barrington they have some great little shops, beaches and places to eat like Captain Kat’s and Dan’s Ice Cream Shoppe.

While staying in the town Shelburne you check out things like:
>The historic waterfront and all it has to offer like the dory shop, barrel factory, museum and so much more. Fun fact: the movie “A The Scarlett Letter” was filmed on the waterfront in the 90’s and a lot of the “historic” look is from the set.
>Welkum Park is a great lake for public swimming in the summer months
Borrow my Boards is a local gal who has paddle boards and fun things to do.
>There is a local Yacht Club with some great sailing and sailboats to check out.
>Your Air BnB is located beside the local walking trail “rails to trails”
>Sandy Point Lighthouse and beach is a must see and beautiful spot for some great photos.
>Black Loyalist Museum in Birchtown
>Riverhills Golf Course in Clyde River

More beaches in the area and surrounding areas are but not limited to:
Roseway Beach
Louis Head Beach
Crescent Beach
Daniel’s Head Beach
Sandhills
Stoney Island Beach

If you are feeling really adventurous I would encourage a trip to Dennis Point in Pubnico to not only see the largest fishing wharf in NS but to eat at the Dennis Point Cafe across the street with some of the best food and service around!
