Happy Friday adventurers! It's been a while since the last so here's a fun lil factoid quiz before the weekend.

This historic town is where the planet Uranus was first observed.

Another fun fact for you, I'm a fully grown adult who can't see or hear the word Uranus without chuckling to myself 🙃🙃

Any guesses?

Ps-yes there are a few photos here that are technically from surrounding towns, but it's SUCH a cute area I couldn't not include them.

Remember the days when we could freely cross the border to our southern neighbours? Yeah, me neither. To remind you, here are a few photos of our drive through New Hampshire and Vermont on our way home from the East Coast a few years ago. Also, we stayed in a converted train caboose there, so that was cool 😎

Today on I bring you...a beautiful sunset in the Yucatan? Punta Cana? Costa Rica?

Think a little closer to home-this stunning destination is Lake Superior (wah wah). No but seriously, one of the most beautiful (and easily accessible) drives I've experienced is right here in Ontario, north from Toronto, between Sudbury and Kenora. Until this past summer, I had never done this drive and boy am I glad we did! What a gorgeous drive, with some of the most amazing lakeside hikes along the way. If you aren't sure you want to count on any out of province travel this summer, I highly recommend checking out

We stayed mainly at provincial parks along the way, including Lake Superior, Sleeping Giant, and Grundy Lake. We had some of the best apple fritters I've ever had in my life, and took our time enjoying the drive over four days on our way out west.

If you need help planning a road trip closer to home this year, I'm your girl!

Happy adventurers! Prepare to be very jealous of this collection of photos from beautiful Zanzibar! I was lucky enough to visit this unique archipelago a few years ago and was basically like 😱😱 the entire time.

All the colours on Zanzibar are out of an Instragram filter. The bluest blue skies, white sand beaches, and turquoise waters.

Zanzibar has a long (and often tragic) history, having been claimed as a territory belonging to Middle Eastern Sultans, the Portuguese, and the English, it was a central slave trading island for much of its history. But because of this, the culture, food, and architecture on Zanzibar are amazingly diverse, and absolutely one of a kind.

I ask one thing of you if you decide to visit this island-do your research beforehand (or ask yours truly for help planning)! This is a predominantly Muslim island and as such, it is incredibly disrespectful to wear things like crop tops or short shorts or drink to excess, especially when in the cities. It might look like a typical resort destination, but don't be "that guy" the locals are uncomfortable around. There are some beautiful resort areas where you can wear bathing suits and drink to your heart's content, but this is a definite no-no when in Stone Town.

100% would go back if only for the pweza wa nazi-octopus coconut curry that to this day is one of the most delicious things I've ever tried while traveling!

Happy February adventurers! (I'm sorry, what? Already?)

Today we reminisce about the tiniest Canadian province with the biggest heart. Prince Edward Island was such a lovely place, though I admit we didn't see as much of it as I would have liked, we were there for a wedding (

Another of the highlights from our east coast road trip a couple years was the Cabot Trail. We didn't have much time to stop and do some of the longer hikes, so we would definitely go again, and spend a few days camping and hiking. It's no wonder this province was called "New Scotland"-the scenery is so much like the lower Highlands and areas around Glencoe, it's easy to forget you're in Canada!

In honour of the wonderful first that occurred this week when Vice President Harris took office, here's a fun factoid for your Friday.

This American city is well known for its firsts. Among other things, the first subway was built here, the first lighthouse in the country was here, and very importantly, the first Dunkin Donuts opened here 🤤

Should be an easy one for a few of my American friends...

A few more of my favourite moments from . The landscape of this destination is absolutely breathtaking, I couldn't get enough! The castles, the Giant's Causeway, and the streets of Belfast city centre just to name a few of the highlights. And don't forget those amazing Northern Irish accents ❤️

Of all the amazing adventures I've been lucky enough to go on, Canadian road trips have been some of my favourite trips recently. We have an absolutely beautiful country, with some of the most diverse landscapes and wonderfully kind people.

Fingers crossed for a safe return to domestic travel to the East Coast soon, because the and the lovely little town of Alma, New Brunswick was one of the most memorable stops on our road trip out east a few years ago.

If you need help dreaming of your East Coast road trip for when the Atlantic travel bubble lifts, I'm your expert!

A little for all you adventurers. When people think of the perfect destination, most assume California, but there's another destination renowned for its world-class surfing and skiing (and yes, you can do both in one day.)

Any guesses as to where? (Hint in the last photo for those of you with good flag knowledge 😉)

Keep an eye on my story for the answer...

I love everything about Northern Ireland. The people and history, the unique cities and wild countryside. Before you go, I highly recommend reading up on the history of The Troubles to really get the most out of your trip. And if you're a nerd like me, check out for an amazing way to see all the quintessential Northern Ireland sites while in costume!

Happy Monday adventurers! At least I think it's Monday 🙃 Lately, working from home on my own schedule means I've only been able to keep track of my week based on when a new episode of The Mandalorian came out. Now that season 2 is done, I'm not sure what I'll do...

Any thoughts as to where this picture was taken?

I thought I'd take some time today to let you know a bit more about myself, my travel experience, and what you can expect if you've never used a travel concierge/travel agent.

I've been a travel agent and manager for five years now, and let me tell you it is the MOST fun job. I get to spend my days helping people make their travel dreams into a reality. While it doesn't come without its stressful moments (like the entire past year), it's a generally awesome gig.

When I'm not working, I'm hanging out with my lovely partner Mike, and our fur babies Winston and Alma. Believe it or not, I grew up a "dog person" so don't ask me how I ended up with cats all over my apartment!

Aside from travel, I love to cook (thanks dad), quilt (thanks mom) and puzzle. I'm a proud nerd, and have been lucky enough to do things like tour the Harry Potter studios in the UK, and get a guided tour of Northern Ireland from a Game of Thrones cast member!

As a travel concierge, I'll be happy to do everything from answer your entry/exit requirement questions, to recommend places to eat in destination. Think of me as a more up-to-date human version of that Lonely Planet travel guide you've had on your bookshelf for years 😄

To book a free 30-minute travel consultation, see the link in my bio.

Here's to much more travel in the year to come!

❤️
