Just had the lower half of the driveway re-graded today. Lots of projects going on - new sprinkler system, pruning, planting, painting. We want our guests to always have the best experience ever.

Our review from our most recent guests - it contains great information for anyone with concerns about travel at this time. 😊

Chelsea - January 2021:

Casa Mar Y Sol was AMAZING. The house was absolutely stunning. Every detailed planned out perfectly for comfort and enjoyment. We loved swimming in the pool while looking out over the jungle and the ocean. The kids really enjoyed the pool lights at night (so did we!). I was impressed with how quiet it was and how "away from it all" you feel even though any amenity that you could need is close by.

The house itself was well stocked, enough towels and blankets for all 6 of us. The kitchen was also very well equipped! I was able to prepare meals with all the same equipment and gadgets as at home. Scott and Christine put a lot of thought into making the kitchen both beautiful and functional.

We had the personal chefs Will and Oscar come one evening to cook the family dinner and WOW they were amazing. It was a lot of fun watching them prepare the meal and Will explained what he was doing so we can hopefully re-create the dishes at home. The presentation was great and the food was absolutely amazing. I definitely recommend you have them over one night to cook dinner. Very cool experience, you will be so happy that you did.

We were so close to cancelling our trip due to COVID but decided to go for it and we were are so happy we did. Traveling with 4 kids (youngest 7 months old) is no easy task and with COVID we were nervous but it was actually really easy. The restrictions for entering Costa Rica were easy to complete. There are national insurance companies in Costa Rica that you can use, we went with Manulife Family Plan in Canada for the travel insurance. The forms to fill out for each passenger online before travel was really easy too, very user friendly. I even emailed the tourism Costa Rica people and received an answer back the next day that was very informative. The Canadian government changed the rules for returning to Canada and we had to do COVID tests while in Costa Rica before leaving. There were MANY different options for locations to have the test completed. All were around the same price and it was a very easy process to navigate. They were amazing about ensuring we had our results on time to board our flight home. We were also very impressed with how Costa Rica was working to keep public areas safe from COVID. We had our temperature taken and had to wash our hands before entering any grocery store/building which made us feel confident about keeping ourselves and others safe during the pandemic.

Everything about the trip was amazing and we are so happy that we got to experience everything that Casa Mar Y Sol has to offer. We will absolutely be back.

This beautiful waterfall is less than a 30 minute drive from Casa Mar Y Sol. You can easily hike the couple of km's to the falls, or choose a horseback or ATV tour. You won't be disappointed. 😍
