From the beginning I’ve always said: Take. The. Trip.

No matter if it’s Disney, a cruise, Europe, Mexico or somewhere warm & sunny, a camping trip, or just a one night hotel stay in your city… DO IT.

Make the memories!!!!

We can’t ever go back in time to make new memories, so don’t miss out on making those memories when you can. Time is short, we don’t know what tomorrow holds.

But I know I’ll always have these moments & memories to look back on as I get older - and for that, I am so grateful to Disney for being a big part of our families memories 🥰🫶

For this trip we stayed at a new good neighbor hotel - the Homewood Suites by Hilton Anaheim Resort.

This hotel was about a 15 minute walk (but I do walk fast!) to the security area of the parks. Otherwise, it’s about a 5 minute walk to the Toy Story Shuttle - which then takes you directly to the main gates! Security is open in the morning at the shuttle lot, but does close later on. So you may end up being lucky enough to go through security at the shuttle and bypass it at Disneys main gates!

The hotel was nice, with a complimentary breakfast buffet. We stayed in a suite as that was all that was available - and it was plenty spacious for larger families, with a nice kitchen area to utilize as well.

Overall, this hotel was a decent choice for families wanting something a bit more cost effective and also enjoying perks like breakfasts or a kitchen!

Strawberry Shortcake Dole Whip was delicious! Tropical Hideaway has delicious seasonal treats they rotate through and alllllll of them are soooo good 🍓🤤

Soarin’ over California is back for the Food and Wine festival!!! I loooooove this so much, and it was so nostalgic to do it again 🫶

Be warned - the lines are LONG for standby, so definitely want to prioritize Lightning Lanes for Soarin’ if you want to ride it.

They also had this cute little set up for when you get off the ride - a free cuties orange 🍊 so fun!

Food and Wine festival at California Adventure has officially kicked off! It was not as busy as I’d expect yesterday (still busy, but I expected it to be swamped). Lots of yummy foods to try though - I’ll explore and see what tickles my fancy today 🍲

Off we go to Disneyland! ✈️

Calgary airport was WILD this morning - but luckily we completed security and customs within 15 minutes. We used MPC and YYC express to get us expedited access through the long lines.

Yes it's only February... but let's talk about Halloween season! For the past few years, I've been able to go and experience Oogie Boogie back to back, as well as enjoy the Halloween season every year.

Halloween is truly one of the best times! So many fun treats, decorations, cute costumes, and of course - Oogie Boogie at California Adventure.

Tickets go on sale later in the year, but you can still play your Halloween vacation early! Locking in the best prices and getting to pay it off over time is such a nice way to budget and spread out the cost.

🍁Here are some amazing facts shared by a fellow travel agency owner in regards to how Disney Cruise Line interacts with Canadians (and other countries).

I know there is a lot of things politically going on, but I thought this is great insight into framing how booking a Disney Cruise does not necessarily mean you are supporting USA - you are also supporting LOTS of other things in regards to your booking, including fellow Canadians.

Plus, you can book Disney Cruises for destinations all around the world. Europe cruises are popular in the summer time, as well as Alaska routes from Vancouver, New Zealand, etc.

1) All Disney Cruise Line entertainment (stage shows etc) spend 3 + month in Toronto rehearsing, living there and supporting our economy.

2) Disney staffs these offices with Canadians

3) On the ships the majority of staff are from other counties and you’d be supporting them

4) Canadian Travel Agents selling Disney Destinations are paid by Disney so you are supporting a Canadian owned business.

5) The ports you visit depend on tourism so you’d also support those communities

Our economies are intertwined in many ways.
