Ecotour FD - mushrooms & other wild edibles,...next trip in the wild !

Price : 85$/person ( identification sheets included )

Many of you have joined us again this year, and we're happy to be organizing events with schools, associations, etc., as well as welcoming many people visiting Nova Scotia!

So that participants can remember their experience and the wild foods identified, we've created visual cards, grouping together the 80 most common and popular wild foods.

Each product category includes photos, and a general document will enable you to note those we were able to find and identify, as well as those not photographed.

Many people ask us for reference books on wild plants, and our cards can be an ideal starting point.

The cards will be delivered at each event!

Vous êtes nombreux à nous rejoindre encore cette année, et nous sommes heureux d'organiser aussi des events avec écoles, association,...et d'acceuillir aussi de nombreuses personnes en viste en nouvelle écosse !

En vue que les participants puissent se souvenir de leur exéprience et des produits sauvages identifiés, nous avons créé des fiches visuelles, regroupant les 80 aliments sauvages les plus communs et populaires.

Chaque catégorie de produits comporte les photos , et un document général vous permettra de noter ceux que nous avons pu trouver et identifier, et aussi noter ceux non photographié.

Beaucoup de personnes nous demande des ouvrages de références sur les plantes sauvages, et nos fiches peuvent être un appui idéal pour débuter.

Les fiches seront livrées lors de chaque event !

We have our 2 first events this February!
On February 11 or 12, join us along the coast at prospect bay. We'll show you all the natural culinary products available at this time of year, and you'll be surprised to discover a wide range of products with incredible textures and aromas! And yes, nature is 'dormant', but not entirely, as you'll discover.
Whether it's a sea truffle or a lichen that tastes like Paris mushrooms,....your senses will be awakened!
We'll also give you tons of information on how to identify them and incorporate them into your recipes.

Another great moment/ecotour this morning!
Smiles, sharing, great people, and lots of mushrooms on the menu at some of the private tables!
Matsutake, hedgehog, yellow foot and others....more than 40lb in 2-3 hours.
Beautiful moments in nature that I have the pleasure of sharing with many admirable people.
A big thank you, thank you and thank you!
This has encouraged me to open new dates in October!

A collaboration between FDwildfoods and Chef Greg burns of the prince george hotel/Gio!
- For 1h30, we'll take a walk in the forest in search of edible mushrooms and plants.
- Afterwards, we'll meet Chef Greg Burns, who'll be cooking up a few dishes and toasts related to the terroir and wild foods. Events in Nature !
- A great 'Wildfoods cooking' session not to be missed.

Great news, as many of you have been asking us for identification sheets on wild edibles and recipe ideas!
( That'll save you money at the store 🙂 )

Discover the natural riches of your Terroir !
With the help of our new product sheets, learn how to easily identify wild edible produce.
Identification tips and recipe ideas for each product will help you get started!

Every Friday, you'll receive an identification sheet, as well as a recipe card.
We plan to deliver 40 identification cards and 40 recipe cards over the next 40 weeks! You'll be able to discover seasonal products week after week.
In total, for this first phase, we'll be focusing on the 40 wild edible products that are the tastiest, most popular and easiest to find and use.
Plants, berries, mushrooms, seaweed, lichen, spices...

The cards will be sent in PDF and JPG format.
Cards will be in English and French

Enclosed, free of charge, is the first identification and recipe sheet for the Scottish Lovage!

The total cost for the 40 identification sheets and 40 recipe sheets is $115, including taxes.
