In anticipation of a rapid freeze, snowfall, and strong winds causing low visibility throughout the Board tonight and into tomorrow, TLDSB has made the decision to close all schools, education centres, and child care centres in schools tomorrow, Thursday, March 6.

This decision was made with the safety of our students and staff as the top priority. We are communicating with families now in an effort to give time to make alternative arrangements.

Please note, schools will not be moving to online learning.

We hope students will take this opportunity to catch up on work, read a book, and/or get outside to play!

We appreciate your understanding during this time.

Due to current inclement weather with poor visibility and road conditions, transportation to schools is not operating in Zones 4 and 5 today, Friday, February 14. Schools remain open and learning opportunities will continue for students who are able to safely attend in person.

Parents/guardians are responsible for transportation of their student(s) to and from school on inclement weather days. Drop-off and pick-up must occur in alignment with the regular school day start and end times.

In anticipation of the winter storm that is forecasted to hit central Ontario with heavy snowfall this evening continuing into tomorrow morning that would impact the safety of travel routes, TLDSB has made the decision to close all schools, education centres, and child care centres in schools tomorrow, Thursday, February 13. We are communicating with families now in an effort to give time to make alternative arrangements.
