l agent in 2017. I first walked down Main Street USA in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park in 1980. I can still remember that special feeling I had…I was home. Both Disney and I have grown tremendously in 40 years, but one thing remains the same. When I enter the parks, I still get the same warm and magical feeling! My vast knowledge of destinations comes from my love of traveling. I am a Walt Disney World planning expert, but I am also an experienced vacationer with Disney Cruise Line, Disneyland Resort in Southern California and Aulani a Disney Resort and Spa in Hawaii! With every reservation I make, I give special attention to exactly what my clients are looking for and what is important to them. Having a wonderful time onboard the Icon of the Seas!! Spent the first two days at sea exploring the ship and today we are having a beach day in St. Maarten. Maho Beach is one of the most famous beaches in the world, as it finds itself at the end of the runway of St Maarten Princess Juliana International Airport laying the scene for many vacation videos and selfies that went viral of planes landing and departing at the adjacent Dutch side airport!🛬It’s a must do while visiting this island!! Tomorrow off St.Thomas! 🌴

Embarkation day!! Just arrived on the beautiful Icon of the Seas!! 10 ships in the Port of Miami today!! First stop The Hideaway! This is an adult only area with an infinity edge pool at the aft of the ship. Time for a cocktail 🍹😎💦

In just a few days I will be boarding Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas!! Can’t wait to leave this cold and snow and the experience the water attractions. 💦

There are seven pools, nine whirlpools, a flowrider and six waterslides on board. Icon of the Seas is home to the largest water park at sea, featuring the tallest drop slide and first family raft slides at sea. Weeee!!! 😎

Yesterday I announced that I will be sailing on Royal Caribbean International’s Icon of the Seas on Saturday ! 🎉⚓️

This ship is jaw-dropping! Look at its size next to the Vision of the Seas. You could spend a month on this ship and not see and do everything but I’m going to try 😉

Holding the title of the largest ship in the world is 248, 663 gross tons and can accommodate 7,600 passengers plus crew! 🤯 It has 20 decks, the biggest water park at sea with 6 water slides and 7 different pools ship-wide!

Saturday can’t come soon enough I’m tried of this cold and snow!! 🥶❄️

Trip Announcement 📣

Now for something completely different! I’m heading off this weekend to set sail on the largest cruise ship in the world…Royal Caribbean Cruise Line’s Icon of the Seas!!! ⚓️

Guests can chart a course to adventure on 7 night Eastern and Western Caribbean getaways from the port of Miami. I will be sailing the Eastern Caribbean itinerary with stops in St.Thomas, St.Maarten and the award winning private island Perfect Day at Coco Cay!

Someone asked “why would I use a travel agent when booking a cruise?” in a local Facebook group yesterday, so I had to stop and share my thoughts of course 😉

“I like to think I know the best locations on the ship to minimize potential motion sickness, avoid obstructed views, limit noise, and the prime locations for conveniently navigating frequented areas like the breakfast/lunch buffet, pools, kids’ clubs, etc.

I also remind my clients of important dates and deadlines so they don’t miss anything, and share recommendations for “ extra” on-board activities and excursions that might enhance their experience.

I set up hotel stays for before the cruise and shuttles to/from the airport and cruise port, including options with car seats for families with littles so they don’t have to bring them with!

I wait on hold so you don’t have to when changes are needing to be made or you have a last minute question while traveling.

I make dining and room requests on my clients’ behalf that they may not know to request on their own.

Disney builds my commission into every package they sell, so my clients don’t pay me anything extra. You’re supporting a small business at no cost to you, AND you’re receiving complimentary planning.”

🅿️ 🚘 what’s one BIG but also small perk of staying on Walt Disney World property for guests who are driving or have a rental car?!?

🛑 NOT having to pay for parking at the four WDW parks. This can save you $30 USD a day in parking fees. 🛑 Using the WDW transportation system is 🆓 for guests. I always tell clients to take advantage of this amazing perk.

Also a lot of hotels in the area charge to park your car in their lots over night as well. This is a huge perk that can save you a lot of money. 💰

Rule #1 at Universal Orlando: get the Park-to-Park ticket! Rule number two? Refer to rule number one. No one wants to throw money away, but you can’t fully experience the magic of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter without it.

Both Hogsmeade (Islands of Adventure) and Diagon Alley (Universal Studios) are spellbinding, and you’ll need (and want) that park-to-park ticket to ride the Hogwarts Express between them. Let’s compare the two lands ⬇️

⚡️ Food: Diagon Alley offers Leaky Cauldron, and Hogsmeade has The Three Broomsticks. Both are packed with snacks, sweets, and endless Butterbeer.

⚡️ Rides: Diagon Alley features Escape from Gringotts, while Hogsmeade has Forbidden Journey, Flight of the Hippogriff, and the fan-favorite Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. (Dare we say the best attraction in Orlando?!)

⚡️ Ambiance: Hogwarts Castle vs a fire-breathing dragon? Impossible to choose. Both have Ollivanders Wand Shop.

I know it’s like asking who is more precious: Luna or Neville… but if you HAD to choose to visit just one land, would you go with Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley?

Yesterday my time onboard the Disney Wish came to an end. Unfortunately I didn’t bring the warm weather of the Bahamas back with me. 🥶

Though disembarkation day is always a sad day, it is also the best time to look back and reflect on the adventures I had.

This trip I dined with royalty, saved the day with Marvel superheroes, and felt the nostalgia of classic Disney films. I soaked up the sun on a beautiful beach and enjoyed time with many characters onboard!

I’m so lucky and grateful to have experienced this Agent Education Program hosted by Disney Destinations, and cannot wait to share more of my adventures with you the next time you call me to book a Disney Cruise. 🛳

Though my journey has come to an end, the next one is right around the corner. This Fall I will be sailing on the new Disney Treasure! 🤗 See ya real soon Mickey ✨⚓️
