From Amboseli, we traveled to Lake Nakuru, which is one of the Rift Valley lakes, located at an elevation of 1,754 m above sea level. It lies to the south of Nakuru in the rift valley of Kenya and is protected by Lake Nakuru National Park.
The lake is famous for its flamingos, but this time we saw more flamingos in Lake Amboseli! 😄The park boasts of Black and White Rhino apart from other birds, warthogs and baboons. .

Interestingly, the white rhino is said to have gotten its name from the Afrikaans word for wide ('wyd'), referring to its wide, square lip (in contrast, black rhinos have a pointy upper lip) Lake Nakuru did not disappoint - lucky to have seen both!
