Morocco Day 11..........
Final morning we soaked up another hour in the square and had the freshest fruit smoothie ever. Booster juice just doesn't come close!

Then departed Marrakech for Casablance. A few hours at the hotel to freshen up and walk around. I did not buy the $22usd Starbucks mug, but instead bought the $0.70 cat food. A local women was feeding him bread so I brought some cat food along. She said thank you at least 10x. The locals take care of the strays.....warms my heart.

Then off to our farewell dinner on the ocean. Fancy schmancy restaurant with the yummiest drinks and delicious food. The sunset wasn't terrible either.

Then departed Casablanca for Frankfurt. Have a story about the worst airline experience ever but will save that for another post!

Morocco Day 10.........to say this was an epic day would be an understatement.

Started at 5am to headed to our sunrise balloon ride. Smooth and beautiful flight!

Then a rest and we headed to a Hammam and Massage. If you don't know what a Hammam is, give it a quick Google. To say our skin has never been more soft would be an understatement.

Then the show stopper was heading to Bennounas Farm outside of Marrakech. Started with the Berber tradition of mint tea and for the first time this whole trip we were explained the importance and process of this.

We enjoyed our beautiful surroundings and then did a cooking class with recipes we can make at home. A little vino and lots of laughs as we enjoyed our fresh salads, salmon tangine and a lovely dessert.

Spectacular way to wind up this trip. Now onto Casablanca to catch our ride to Frankfurt, then Vancouver and then BC Ferries!

Morocco Day 9.........spent the day in Marrakech. Started off at a Co-op learning about the spices and herbs and natural products made in Morocco.

I may have to leave some clothes behind because I bought a few things.

Then headed into the main square, complete with snake charmers (hard pass but took a photos). Spent hours in the market, bought some cute shoes, had the best mini lemon meringue pie and then we went to the Jardin Marjorelle and the YSL museum. Really unique experience in the heart of Marra6.

Then out for a traditional Moroccan meal and entertainment.

Off to bed for a 5am start tomorrow!

Morocco Day 7.........waking up in the Sahara Desert definitely didn't suck.

We went on a tour and stopped at a beautiful viewpoint where you can see Algeria behind us and it was a tad but windy. Also learned about some of the plants grown here, Pomegranate, Oleander, almonds, veggies and more

Then off to listen to some music, a beautiful lunch, a swim at an oasis and then back for dinner. Falling asleep listening to the drums......oh and a little snuggle with Ramada before the night was over.

Long bus ride tomorrow to Marrakech!

Morocco Day 6.....long day on the road from Fes to the Sahara, but absolutely worth it. A few stops along the way to see the "Switzerland " of Morocco and learn about the fossils in Efroud. Then arriving at our Desert camp......if you know me well, you know how much I like camping lol, but this I do enjoy!

Found a perfect blue tile in the sand, felt like finding a piece of seaglass.
