Edifié en 1739, le Fort Picolet se trouve à l'écart de la ville vers l'ouest. Il est accessible en longeant la côte qui offre une superbe vue sur la baie ...

2-Fort Dauphin

Fort-Liberté -
The site was reoccupied by the French in 1732 as Fort-Dauphin; it was captured by Spanish forces in 1794, restored to the French in 1801 and then surrendered to the British on 8 September 1803, shortly before the declaration of independence.

3-Fort Jacques

Le fort Jacques est Bonne en l’honneur de Jean-Jacques Dessalines.

Depuis le Fort Jacques, on peut voir entièrement la baie de Port-au-Prince ainsi que la plaine du cul-de-sac.

4-Fort des Oliviers

Built in 1702, Fort des Oliviers was built by French occupiers to defend the Haitian territory against their colonial competitors – namely the British Empire.
