In fact, we're only able to secure a few rooms for a couple of months because of the high demand for this stunning, intimate cruise experience.

Full details will be up shortly. As always, our groups sell on a first come-first serve basis. If you or anyone you know is even possibly interested, contact me and I'll put you on the list to receive the full info once I have it.

I can attest to this! I’m booking a lot of 65-70’s who weren’t able to travel during the pandemic and now realize they have this smaller window of opportunity to take their dream trip/s. I’ve heard comments like “Our $ just sat in the bank collecting interest while we couldn’t travel” and “My husband passed and left me a significant amount of RRSP’s so I’m cashing some in so I can travel” and “My kids aren’t getting ALL my $”, etc.

Agree with it or not, it’s a similar theme amongst this demographic. They’re booking the trips, paying good money for their insurance, and not complaining about any of it. They know the time is now, and I’m inspired by their determination and excitement. 🙌🏻

Last day (yesterday) at Keukenhof🌷and Amsterdam.

We spent a couple of hours at the incredible Keukenhof Tulip Gardens. The Netherlands exports 3.8 billion … yes, BILLION tulip bulbs every year! The tulip blooming season runs for only about 7 weeks of the year and attracts 1.5+ million of visitors during this period.

Although we visited during a very busy and rainy day, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. And now I’m left wondering - how many pictures of tulips is too many? Not asking for a friend. 😆

In the afternoon we did a canal tour of Amsterdam and this was really the only part of the city we had time to see. Unfortunately, the guide didn’t really check our tickets to tell us we were getting on the wrong one so we had a 2 hour ride on the hop on / hop off boat. We were to be on the 1 hour narrated tour. Regardless, it was a really neat way to see some of the city.

Amsterdam is really, really busy. And the airport was absolute insanity. 🤯 I’ve been through my share of airports and this was the craziest! I’ll be sure to take this into consideration when booking anyone to or through Amsterdam.

Thanks for following along with my adventures. It’s been 9 years since I did my first river cruise and after this week I was reminded why I love river cruising so much. It truly is the best way to see Europe in my opinion.

I didn’t take too many photos of the ship but I’ll do one more post with a link to it as well as one big food post! I took a ton of food pics. 🤤

⬆️ This is one of the two soldiers we left the Canadian wind mill for. (To go along with my video below). He was from Ontario.

We also left one on the grave of John Arthur Wellbelove. Here is his info but I’ll also post in the comments as I’m not sure both will work in this post ⬇️

What’s especially remarkable to me, is we chose 2 random soldiers, not knowing anything about them. With a little google search, I found out one was from Ontario, the other from Saskatchewan…. Sacrifices from Eastern & Western Canadian soldiers commemorated today in a small way, with enormous gratitude. 🤍❤️🇨🇦❤️🤍

🇨🇦🇳🇱 *Emotional video post*🇳🇱🇨🇦

I will post some photos later to coincide with this video. Today we visited the Airborne Museum in Arnhem which focuses on the failed WWII mission of Operarion Market Garden in September, 1944. We then stopped at the Arnhem Oosterbeek War Cemetery where many Commonwealth Nations soldiers are laid to rest. It was incredibly moving that a handful of us Canadians were able to leave wind mills at 2 Canadian soldier’s graves. What an honour & a core memory I’ll hold dear forever. ❤️🇨🇦🇳🇱🤍

Antwerp, Belgium 🇧🇪🍫💎

Today we enjoyed a beautiful 2 hour guided walking tour of some of the highlights of Antwerp. The rain didn’t take away from the magnificent architecture and quaint little streets & alleys we wandered through.

This is the diamond capital of the world, but since diamonds aren’t exactly in my budget at the moment, I splurged on some Belgium chocolate. 😜 Besides, I’m sure my family will appreciate it more than if I came home sporting some diamond jewelry. Maybe next time.

Thoroughly enjoyed some Belgian waffles at a local restaurant with some fellow Canadian travel agents. The waffles were delicious and the company was even better.

Only 2 more days left of this adventure! It’s really flying by. Thanks for following along with me so far.

🤍Willemstad🤍

There are not enjough adjectives in the English language to describe this town.

We docked and were encouraged to enjoy time exploring on our own, and wow did we ever.

The most beautiful little streets and canals, quaint little harbour, a church, a world class museum (please google it!), the loveliest shop with handmade ware from local artists, and the sweetest shop owner who also happened to be the volunteer at the museum today.

Of course, photos don’t do it justice and most need to be edited but I just really want to share them with you now.

Willemstad, I’ll love you forever! 🥰

What a day! 🤩

Visited The Hague by coach and then sailed away from Rotterdam to the beautiful little town of Willemstad.

I’ll split my day in 2 posts because there’s far too much to fit in 1.

The Hague
• Mauritshuis • The Dutch Parliament •
• The International Court of Justice •

I am by no means an art history major (or even a minor 😜) but let me say, visiting Mauritshuis and seeing paintings by Rembrandt today was pretty cool. I’m including a few photos of a very small representation of what we saw.

We briefly toured outside the Dutch Parliament building and had a 5 minute photo stop outside The International Court of Justice.

Rotterdam!
This is a popular river and ocean cruise port city. Sadly, it was heavily bombed during WW2. They rebuilt the city with modern architecture, so for me it’s certainly missing that historical “feel” that I love when I visit other European cities and towns. Nevertheless, we had a lovely bicycle ride and tour of the Market Hall which I didn’t get any pictures of (it was shoulder to shoulder packed in there!)

Today we visited Zaanse Schans to learn about traditional Dutch windmills, clog making and cow, goat & sheep cheese making. Bonus: there was cheese sampling involved. 😋🧀

Enjoyed the drive through some picturesque towns along the way. Back onboard this afternoon we tried our hand at clog painting.

I’ll stick with my day job. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hello from Amsterdam! 👋🏼 🇳🇱

Arrived on time (thank you Air Canada) and spent the afternoon onboard our ship the Emerald Dawn. We’re docked in Amsterdam overnight, giving us time to see some sights tomorrow before we start cruising in the evening.

It was a rainy day and I struggled to stay awake after maybe an hour it of sleep total on the plane. But I did it and I’m excited to start sharing this journey with you.

Here are just a few pics on and around the ship. (Really regretting not packing my bathing suit. The hot tub would’ve been perfect today 🤦🏼‍♀️)

Travel agent struggle #38:
You’re planning a group for Feb 2026 but realize the Winter Olympics are on so you push the departure til after they’re done so you won’t miss any of that.
