🪴 🌸 🌺 Glacier Gardens 🌺 🌸 🪴

This adventure just outside of Juneau did not disappoint 😍

Located in the heart of the Tongass National Forest, Glacier Gardens is a vibrant Alaskan botanical garden paradise nestled in the grasp of the lush Southeast Alaskan temperate rainforest habitat.

We hopped on rainforest adventure vehicles and toured through beautifully manicured gardens and into the old growth rainforest on Thunder Mountain. At 580 ft above sea level we got panoramic views of Juneau, one or the best views of this capital city!

What an amazing experience this was!

We are just loving every minute of our time here in Alaska!

Here we are at the Hubbard Glacier. By law the ship needs to stay at least a 1/2 nautical mile from the glacier but that doesn’t take away from hearing the cracking and thunder like sounds of the ice!

This video does not do justice to what we are experiencing today. Would I do an Alaska Cruise again? In a heartbeat 💗. It’s like an elevated “great outdoors” experience where you can experience the wilds of Mother Nature and this incredible earth, and come back to enjoy exquisite cuisine and drinks, and a comfortable and cozy room. The next day, you open your curtains to your balcony (balcony in my opinion is a must) and wake up in a new destination and even more incredible scenery.

My heart is full!!

I tell ya! Alaska does not disappoint 🩵 From the time we woke up yesterday morning we have been Wow’d over and over again. The back drop and scenery is stunning 🤩

We did a whale watching tour yesterday with an amazing guide who shared stories and knowledge of the area, and also stopped for Alaskan King Crab 🦀 which was amazing.

The weather is perfect. Mid spring temperatures with just a light jacket is all we have needed.

Today we sail by the Hubbard Glacier and very much looking forward to that.

If you’ve sat on the fence about booking an Alaskan cruise, I would highly recommend, such a wonderful experience so far.

This view though 🤩 Yesterday was our day at sea, and we opened our curtains to start our day with this incredible view!

We enjoyed ship board activities, had lunch at Sushi 🍱 on 5 (YUMMO!!) and even watched the dolphins 🐬 put on a show in the ocean for us!

Today is the Icy Straight and we are going whale watching! 🐋 🛥️

Can’t wait!!

💙 Vancouver! Such a beautiful, clean city!

I can’t think of another place where you get city, mountain and beach views all in one shot! 🤩

Yesterday we explored Granville Island, Gastown and Stanley Park. Had an incredible 10 hour sleep at the Sandman Suites on Davie and this morning we were off to Canada Place to board the Celebrity Solstice! 🚢
