On Saturday we drove 250 km one way to check out Iceberg Lagoon and Diamond Beach.
Photo 1: zoom in-this glacier is HUGE. The glacier calves the icebergs.
Photo 2-6: icebergs in the lagoon hang around until the strong current grabs them. Many drift out to sea, but many get hung up and become the “diamonds” on Diamond Beach.
Phot 7-10 are the bits of ice left over after the ocean wears them down. They end up on the beach, looking very much like the names suggests.
This was an exceptional day!
