Yippee! Our favorite tour company, Cross Experience Tours, which is located in Fredericton, now has pickups starting in Halifax with pickup stops along the way! This will be our 7th Florida trip with this company and I can fully recommend them! This trip is a leisurely drive to Orlando where we will spend 14 days of doing exactly what you want. And there will be options for outings with the bus. Then a leisurely trip back home. AND THEN, IT IS WINTER

Time moves swiftly, often catching us unaware of how quickly the years pass.

It feels like just yesterday I was young—just married, stepping into life with endless dreams. But now, I find myself in the winter of my life, wondering how it all happened so fast. Where did the years go? Where did my youth go?

I remember watching older people, thinking they were so far ahead of me, their "winter" a distant concept I couldn't truly grasp. Yet here I am. My friends are retired, their hair greying, their steps slower. I see those changes in myself too. We’ve become the “older folks” we once looked at with youthful eyes, never imagining we’d be here so soon.

These days, small tasks like taking a shower feel like major accomplishments. Naps are no longer indulgences—they’re necessities. If I skip them, sleep finds me anyway, wherever I happen to be.

This season of life brings its own challenges: the aches, the loss of strength, and the realization of dreams left undone. Yet, I know this isn’t the end. When winter here is over, another adventure awaits beyond this life.

Yes, there are regrets—things I wish I’d done differently—but there’s also joy in the memories of the life I’ve lived. It’s all part of the journey.

If you haven’t reached your winter yet, let me offer this advice: It arrives faster than you think. Don’t wait too long to do the things you dream of. Life passes quickly. Say what you want to say, do what you want to do, and let the people you love know how much they mean to you.

"Life" is a gift, and the way you live it becomes your gift to those who come after you. Make it a beautiful one.

LIVE WELL. LOVE MUCH. LAUGH OFTEN.
Enjoy each day to its fullest, because today is the oldest you’ve ever been, yet the youngest you’ll ever be.

Some reflections on this stage of life:

Your kids are becoming you.

Going out is fun, but coming home is even better.

You forget names—but it’s fine, because others forget they ever knew you!

The things you once cared about no longer matter, and you care more about not caring.

You sleep better in a chair with the TV blaring than in bed.

You miss the simplicity of an "ON" and "OFF" switch.

Everything in stores seems to be sleeveless now.

Freckles have turned into liver spots.

Everyone whispers.

Your closet holds three sizes of clothes—two of which you’ll never wear again.

But aging has its blessings: old songs, old movies, and most importantly, old friends.

Stay well, my old friend. Life isn’t about what you gather, but what you scatter. It’s about the love, kindness, and laughter you share.

Live happy. Scatter joy. Embrace today.

The Cross Experience

At the Cross Experience, to help you select the perfect trip for you, we have divided our tour business into 3 separate yet combined divisions, with the goal to providing a lifetime “Experience” at a reasonable cost.

Experience Series

These trips will generally fall into longer general sightseeing trips starting with long weekends and extending up to 3 week Experiences to places throughout North America, such as Florida, Nashville TN, Branson MO, Niagara Falls, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada and many more both in Canada and USA.

These also will be focused on destinations within Maritimes and Maine generally "day trips" or over 1-2 nights. Popular Destinations will be Halifax Military Tattoo, PEI, Jolly Roger whale watching, St Stephen Ganong chocolate tour, McAdam train excursion, St Martin’s, Grand Manan Island, Bangor shopping and many more. We live in a beautiful part of the world and it is our goal to share many of these locations with you.

Faith Based Christian Series

These trips will be more focused on music and will generally be built around one or more gospel concerts. Even though this will be the focus there will be lots of extra activities for those that would just like to "get away" and travel to exciting places in a relaxed atmosphere arriving rested and ready to have lots of FUN. They will always include plenty of time for shopping, sight seeing, and famous restaurants where memorable times can be shared “around the table”. Occasionally we will partner up with HFM Event, headquartered in New England with many varied destinations, such as Washington DC, Lancaster Co PN, Pigeon Forge TN. They can also stretch from a long weekend to as much as 21 days including cruises and other great added value "Experiences".

Sports and Concert Series

An added bonus that I am sure many will welcome is that, we have formed a working relationship with Tom McGinn Tours, a very well know and highly respected local tour operator, specializing in Sporting Events and Concerts. We have worked with Tom in the past and can testify that he does great tours in those specialty areas and we look forward to adding this type of trip to our "Experiences".

We will maintain our own identity but share our trips with each other and handle bookings for both, meaning if you are currently a regular passenger on Tom McGinn Tours, trips...you will be able to book on Cross Experience trips through Tom and vice versa..

We both are very excited to be able to form this relationship and we expect to be able to offer more variety and economics to our upcoming schedules.

Watch for “Red Carpet Designated Trip”...it means a lot of “extra”perks will be added to that trip
