Who would’ve thought visiting an e-bike business and learning about e-bikes could be so fun and “rewarding”? Yes. Rewarding, especially on a gloomy rainy day.

Angie and the team from Green Street Peterborough welcomed us with beautiful presentation of food and gifted each of us beautiful plants cupped by different glasses from Habitat for Humanity Peterborough & Kawartha Region while telling us about the business and what the benefits of riding e-bikes are.

The store front may not be the biggest for bikes, but the interior decoration is unique in its own way. We not only found a ceiling light made with bike wheels but a catcher made with bike wheels and it is called bike catcher according to Angie.

This interesting downtown e-like store gives you space to find that unique “piece” of your own, be it a piece of decor or the e-bike that you have always wanted to own one.

Visit them soon on 237 George St. to find that/those fun, economical, environment friendly and keeping you healthy “vehicle(s)” for the summer coming ahead.

😮 I am utterly speechless, profoundly humbled, and deeply filled with gratitude to be named the Women’s Business Network Member of the Year. To know that I was chosen by the votes of all members of this extraordinary community fills my heart with indescribable warmth and brings tears of joy to my eyes. From the deepest part of my soul, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for this incredible honor.

🙏 Seeing the name of my small, grassroots business, Kawartha Hypnosis, etched on a trophy alongside the legacies of so many trailblazing women who have paved the way for us to thrive in business is a moment I will carry with me forever.

I am especially honored by the presence of Maureen Tavener, a founding member of WBN and the visionary who created this prestigious award to recognize members who stand out each year. Having Maureen personally visit my clinic to deliver this beautiful trophy is an honor that words can scarcely capture. I am deeply touched by her kindness and generosity in making this special trip, and I feel a pang of regret for not being at the meeting to accept this award in front of my peers. In WBN’s 43-year history, I’ve learned I’m the first recipient to miss the meeting 😬 trust me to unintentionally break tradition and be the rebel! 🫢 I hope this post conveys the depth of my gratitude and serves as my heartfelt acceptance of this remarkable recognition.

This award is so much more than a celebration of my journey, it’s a testament to the strength, courage, and resilience of women everywhere who dare to dream big. To every woman who has ever felt uncertain, who has wondered if she has what it takes to build a business or chase her ambitions, let this moment be your reassurance: you absolutely can, and you will. Your unique gifts, your determination, and your willingness to take that first step are more than enough. You don’t need to have every answer or a perfect plan; you just need to keep moving forward, one brave step at a time. The road may be challenging, and self-doubt may creep in, but you are capable of creating something extraordinary. This award is dedicated to you, the women who weren’t sure they could do it but did it anyway. You are an inspiration, and I am so proud to stand alongside you as we lift each other up and prove that women do achieve greatness in business, in life, and in community. 🙌

🙏Thank you, Women’s Business Network, for this unforgettable moment and for being a beacon of support and empowerment. A special thank you again to Maureen Tavener for her legacy and for making this day so meaningful. Here’s to continuing to champion, inspire, and celebrate the incredible women of Peterborough and beyond.
