🌟 Spotlight Coffee of the Week: Chalos Colombian 🌟

This week, we’re proud to feature our Chalos Colombian—a coffee with deep roots. In the cup, you'll find sweet notes of honey, panela, and caramel, making every sip delicious.

This washed Castillo comes from the farm of our direct trade partner and friend, Chalo. As a 5th generation coffee producer in Paicol, Huila, Colombia, Chalo has dedicated his life to perfecting his craft. We've worked closely with Chalo and his family for years, and we’re incredibly proud of the innovation, determination, and positive impact his farm has had on their community.

We are excited to see you all this weekend at the Bayfield Fair!

The food trucks at last year's Bayfield Fair were a great success, so we've added even MORE food trucks for this year's Fair. Food choices to satisfy every craving!

Core hours will be 11-4:30 pm on Saturday and 11-4 pm on Sunday. Mr Cool Ice Cream will also be with us on Friday from 5-9 pm. . Cool Ice Cream and Pitstop Grill

🎨 We are excited to be hosting the art exhibit FOUND by the talented mixed-media artist Hilary Norcliffe at Coastal Coffee Café from August 15th to September 7th. Hilary has deep ties to the area having spent summers in Kincardine where her parents now live. She brings her unique approach to found object art, creating pieces that are both whimsical and thought-provoking. 🌊

Join us for a special meet-and-greet with Hilary on Saturday, August 17th, from 1-3 PM at the café. Whether you're an art enthusiast or simply curious, come for the coffee and stay to discover a new local artist.

It's Fair season! We will be at the Bayfield Fair this weekend both Saturday and Sunday (August 17th and 18th). Come out to see the parade, the Touch a Truck event, circus and busker events, all the 4H and animal events, and head over to the vendor area and look for our big green trailer to find us and grab a coffee.

Everyone loves a parade! The Bayfield Fair Parade will be one week from today - Saturday, Aug. 17 at 11:00 am - on Bayfield Main Street, starting at Catherine Street, then proceeding past Clan Gregor Square and along John Ave. to the fairgrounds. Bayfield Fair volunteers will be collecting cash donations along the route to cover parade costs. Don’t forget to bring non-perishable food donations for the Bayfield and Area Food Bank volunteers who will also be collecting along the way. See you at the parade!

Coffee Spotlight:  Wahundra Muranga from Kenya! ☕️🇰🇪

This distinguished coffee hails from the Murang’a region, subregion Kiiraini, boasting an altitude of 1,600 to 1,800 MASL. Cultivated at the Wahundra Factory, the coffee showcases varieties like Ruiru 11 and SL28, contributing to its exquisite flavour profile.

Immerse yourself in the compelling notes of sweet cherries and brown sugar, expertly crafted through the meticulous washed process.  The washing process at Wahundra involves careful selection, disc pulping, 16-24 hours of fermentation, and a thorough wash. The parchment undergoes an additional 24-hour soak before drying on raised beds for 18-24 days, culminating in a coffee of remarkable sweetness, floral notes, and complexity.

Our commitment to freshness ensures that every batch is roasted to perfection, bringing out the best in these amazing beans.

Coffee Spotlight:  Urban Hillbilly Espresso

The Urban Hillbilly Espresso Blend is our flagship Jittery Hippie Coastal espresso blend.  It is a custom creation for high pressure, espresso extraction.  You will find notes of hazelnut, sweet cane sugar, and fermented dark fruit.

Used in all of our café espresso drinks this would be a great addition to your home coffee set up.

The Coastal Coffee Café will be open for regular hours this Friday and Saturday from 9am – 3pm.  Invite a friend and enjoy some time together with amazing freshly roasted coffee.  Summer hours starting soon Thursday June 20, 2024 we will be open Thursday, Friday & Saturday 9am-3pm.

Rise and Shine Yoga is back this week – Saturday morning at 8am, drop in, $15.

The Coastal Coffee  green machine will also be back at the Goderich Farmers’ Market Saturday June 8th from 8am – 2pm.  Four weeks in a row!  It has been great getting to meet so many people who are new to the area.

The sun is here and we are getting into our summer coffee groove!
