Today, your journey takes you through the wild and remote beauty of Connemara, one of Ireland's most scenic regions. Enjoy a scenic ride along the West Coast, with stunning views of Connemara National Park.

The Point Pony Trekking & Horse Riding Centre in Ballyconneely offers a unique opportunity to discover some of the most breathtaking scenery in the West of Ireland on horseback. Our riding centre is situated right beside the Atlantic Ocean and the famous Connemara Championship Golf Links. Our spectacular beach rides have provided riders with some amazing experiences over the years. All our rides are accompanied by experienced staff. They will guide you and your horse safely along the dazzling sandy beaches and through wide open countryside. With the Twelve Bens as a backdrop, the Atlantic Ocean at your feet, the picturesque fishing village of Roundstone and the colorful town of Clifden only a few miles away, it doesn't come any more scenic than this!

After the ride, continue to Kylemore Abbey, where you can enjoy a self-guided visit of the stunning Victorian mansion set against the backdrop of the Benbaun Mountain. In the mid-1800s, Mitchel Henry, a successful businessman and politician, fell in love with Margaret, the daughter of a prominent family in England. They married, and shortly after, Mitchel purchased a vast estate in Connemara and began building Kylemore Castle (now Kylemore Abbey) as a tribute to his wife. He had the castle constructed in the Victorian Gothic style, complete with turrets and a picturesque lakeside setting, reflecting the love he felt for Margaret. You will have the opportunity to explore the abbey’s rich history and tranquil gardens.

Riding and Sightseeing trip to Ireland July 25-Aug. 2, 2025
Be part of a small group (14 people) going to Ireland this summer on a trip that has 4 rides at different places (always wanted to ride in Ireland but didn't know which experience to choose from? - well now you don't have to because we combined 4 of them!) but also time to check out and sightseeing some of the main attractions Ireland has to offer. Being in the saddle for 7 days and then going home feeling like you missed SEEING Ireland - This will fix that! We have non-riding spots too so you can bring your friend, partner, spouse that doesn't ride and they can relax, take in a game of golf, tour around while we ride and then meet up for sightseeing & touring all together. It's a blend of two great Ireland wish lists trips. Get some great Irish riding in and also catch some of the great Irish attractions as well. Only 2 different accomodations so there isn't a lot of unpacking to do. The group will have our own driver to get us from place to place - so no stress about driving or finding our way around. Time back at the hotels in the evening for down time. (If you want to go back out or come back to the hotel later, it would just be an easy taxi ride back) so you can have some time to spend doing the extras you want.
Don't let the drag hunt scare you! You will suprise yourself at how fun it is and you can start in a slower 'field' (group) and move your way up if you wish. These are professionals and they have great horses and organization. And what an experience for anyone who hasn't ridden to hounds but has 'sort of always wanted to' - here's your chance! On well trained, facility owned horses that know the grounds and know the job. Sit back and smile as you hear the hounds voice as they follow a scent laid by human for them to follow - fun for hounds, horses and riders.
Riding spots are $5600CAD per person + flights $4000 for non-riders. Includes accomodations, riding activities (for riders), private driver and breakfast each day. Group booking by December 31st and only 14 spots available (5 already taken).
