I know many of you saw my IG Story about our recent Pregnancy Loss. I had so many people reach out, and continue to reach out to share their own stories of loss, as well as holding space for me, and sending love. You have no idea how much it all has meant to me, and truly has made me feel less alone. So, I hope me sharing my story has maybe made at least one other person feel less alone too.
In keeping with the theme that this needs to be talked about MORE, I don’t want to just share about my Pregnancy Loss journey once, and then put silence to it. But, I also am cognizant that many people joining me in this space are not necessarily here for that info - and that is fair!
SO, throughout my journey with trying to conceive, pregnancy, postpartum, pregnancy loss, etc. I have become literally obsessed with this world. In the last year I have made it a priority to follow my heart, and my heart is telling me I need to open some more doors.
I am still very much in the behaviour world, and will be going FULL FORCE with The Behaviour Mama. But, I am also exploring what it might mean for me to join another community as well.
My hope is to continue to educate myself and become certified as a Doula, specializing in Pregnancy Loss, Pregnancy After Loss, and Parenting After Loss. If there is one thing I have learned in all of this, is that there is not enough professional support when it comes to pregnancy loss and pregnancy after loss, so my hope is I can be that support for others on this lonely journey. I also have a special place in my heart for Home Births as my two earth side babes were born at home, so that will definitely hold a space in my Doula Specialization as well.
I will share more as I think of a name for myself (any ideas let me know lol) and dive further into this world, but know that I am still here to chat about all things birth, postpartum, pregnancy loss, pregnancy after loss, and parenting after loss. These are heavy things and we should absolutely never have to go through it alone.
