Big shoutout to our uptown properties (Quality Inn & Conference Centre Kingston Central, Comfort Suites Kingston Central, & Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kingston Central) for rocking our annual post-Earth Day clean-up! We rolled up our sleeves and made our grounds shine - uniting for a cleaner, greener tomorrow🌎

And, you know we had to celebrate afterward with a delicious BBQ on the Comfort Suites patio! It was such a beautiful day to be outdoors, a perfect reminder of how much we all benefit from and enjoy our green spaces. Cheers to keeping our hood clean and green, folks🌱✨

This week our management team embarked on a journey to Bethesda, Maryland - home to Marriott International headquarters🏢💼 - where we had the incredible opportunity to participate in an immersive in-person workshop as part of our Executive Excellence and Guest Experience program.

Over the course of one and a half days, we delved deep into the details of the Marriott brand, standards, tools, and training, all aimed at enhancing our ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The agenda was filled with enlightening sessions, featuring live demos and trainings from Marriott experts across various fields, including global quality, Marriott Bonvoy, digital guest experiences, multicultural affairs & social impact, and more🧠 We also had the chance to connect with Marriott executives and fellow franchise management companies, picking up some awesome industry insights and perspectives🤝

But it wasn't all work and no play! Amidst the workshops and meetings, we made sure to carve out time for some well-deserved fun. We cheered on the Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards⚾ and explored the historic landmarks of Washington DC, including the Lincoln Memorial, the White House, and the Washington Monument🦅

As we bid farewell to Bethesda we're filled with excitement and determination. We've learned, laughed, and grown together as a team, and we're eager to harness this newfound inspiration to drive innovation and excellence in everything we do.

Here's to the next chapter of our journey towards hospitality excellence! 🚀

Reflecting on our Diamond Hotels Sales Rally that took place this past Tuesday to celebrate our wonderful sales team!

The day started with an energetic discussion, delving into our identity and the exciting path that lies ahead. The room buzzed with lively conversations, and every contribution was pure gold. A huge shoutout to our guest speakers for adding their sparkle to the discussion.

And then came the adventure - Treetop Trekking 🌳 We swung, climbed, and ziplined, leaving our comfort zones behind. There were a few surprises, including some unexpected splits and heart-pounding moments, but our team's spirit soared as we elevated our teamwork to new heights.

To cap it all off, a delightful dinner that was the cherry on top of the day. Laughter, good food, and unforgettable memories made this day truly great.

Our team had a 'hole' lot of fun at the annual Chamber Golf Classic (Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce) at Cataraqui Golf and Country Club this past Monday⛳ Some of our team members volunteered, while others enjoyed a day of golf on the green. It was a 'tee-rific' day filled with networking and fun🏌️‍♂️

A big shoutout and congratulations to the Chamber for putting on a wonderful event. We're already looking forward to next year's!

What a wonderful evening aboard the Island Queen for the Canada's LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce Business Summit boat cruise! 🚢🌟🌊

Our very own Chef Christina of AquaTerra, alongside a lineup of talented local restaurants and beverage suppliers, showcased their culinary creations, treating guests to a diverse and delicious experience.

Adding to the evenings magic, Rowena Whey gave a spectacular performance — adding an extra touch of enchantment to the festivities.

Rain couldn't dampen our spirits yesterday as our team participated in the Amazing K-Town Runaround!👟🏆

We wholeheartedly embraced the unofficial title of 'Best Drenched Divas' and had a great time exploring all of the charming gems of Downtown Kingston, solving puzzles, and working together as a team.

A big shoutout to Improbable Escapes and Downtown Kingston for organizing this event, as well as all the local businesses that hosted some super fun challenges. Thanks for making it a memorable experience. We already are looking forward to next year 🙌

Diamond Hotels Management Inc. takes great pride in supporting the 2023 Special Olympics Ontario School Championships🥇, hosted by Special Olympics Ontario and Kingston Police, held in Kingston this week.

On Tuesday, our team members joined forces as volunteers and had a great time welcoming and cheering on all of the amazing athletes who showed unwavering determination and inspired us all. Despite the challenges posed by the wildfires, which led to the postponement of the outdoor games, there were still smiles all around.

It's moments like these that remind us of the power of teamwork, compassion, and the joy of giving back to our community.

Brian Hope & Tara Timmins were thrilled to attend RVC+ in Toronto from May 24 -27 as part of Team Kingston.

This year, RVC+ was hosted by Destination Canada and the Tourism Industry Association of Canada at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
