One of the perks of being a travel advisor is of course getting to travel. But not just for my own personal enjoyment.
This year, I have the opportunity to travel to Budapest, Hungary for the ASTA Global River Cruise Expo and to Barcelona, Spain with Air Canada Vacations to sail the Mediterranean aboard the Symphony of the Seas.
I'm excited for all of the knowledge and expertise I’ll gain and be able to pass on to my clients — knowledge you just can’t get without being in the destination yourself.
My recommendations on resorts, cruises, and travel experiences are based on my firsthand travels — and if you’d like to travel to somewhere I haven’t been I have trusted partners on the ground who help me to design your trip.
During a consultation call, I take that extra time to get to know you and your expectations. We chat about your needs and especially your "must do's".

What`s the average day in the life of a group & family travel pro?
If I’m being honest.. when you’re planning dream trips, there’s no such thing as an average day! But here’s what an IDEAL day looks like for me:
- monitoring clients' flights
- sending river cruise options that check off all the destination's on a wish list
-contacting hotels to reconfirm special requests for clients
-updating my knowledge with a webinar on new hotel or cruise itinerary
Some days my "to-do" list is unexpectedly changed by managing the effects of delayed flights or assisting clients while they're on their vacation. And those days are just as rewarding - I'm still helping my clients have the best trip possible.
Tell me in the comments: What`s your ideal day like?👇
Everyone’s still talking about their 2023 goals, and all I can think about is all of the TRAVEL goals I have for myself this year. Here goes!
*a weekend in Banff enjoying the beauty in my own backyard
*exploring Hungary and Germany via the Danube river
*seeing Ontario in all its autumnal splendor
*getting back to Disneyland - the happiest place on Earth
