Bookings for the Disney Destiny will open Sep. 12, and today we’re sharing must-know dates and details about the ship’s maiden voyage and inaugural itineraries so you can start mapping out your own epic vacations!

The Disney Destiny will sail its maiden voyage from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Nov. 20, 2025. Not only will this special four-night cruise be your first opportunity to experience all this ship has to offer, but it will also include stops at both of Disney Cruise Line’s island destinations in The Bahamas – Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point!

The maiden voyage will be followed by an inaugural season of four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean. "Wailulu" means calm waters in Hawaiian, perfectly describing the breathtaking view of the Seven Seas Lagoon. With spacious indoor and outdoor seating, plus a bar offering stunning views of Cinderella's Castle, this casual walk-up pool bar will serve an all-day menu for lunch and dinner, inspired by local and indigenous Polynesian ingredients. Enjoy specialty coffee and grab-and-go morning pastries as well!

Inside, the dining room will feature a beautiful painting of Moana and an abstract Polynesian Stick Chart, an ancient navigation tool used to traverse the seas. You know the menu is going to be amazing—more details coming soon!

✨ What an unforgettable finale to D23! The Disney Legends ceremony was a celebration of those who've left an indelible mark on Disney, with moments that will be cherished forever. This year’s class was nothing short of extraordinary. From the Pacific Symphony's breathtaking medley of John Williams' music to Dr. Jane Goodall honoring the visionary Joe Rohde, the evening was filled with magic. We witnessed Disney royalty gathering on stage for Mark Henn, the Dora Milaje paying tribute to the incredible Angela Bassett, and had the thrill of being in the audience as Miley Cyrus was inducted as the youngest-ever Disney Legend. But perhaps the most heartwarming moment? Jamie Lee Curtis leading the entire arena in singing 'Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow'—truly a night to remember! 🎶🌟

➡️ A new nighttime spectacular is coming to Magic Kingdom in January 2025.
➡️ New land alert! Pueblo Esperanza is coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, breaking ground this fall. It will feature a brand-new Indiana Jones attraction set in an ancient Mayan temple, a new carousel, and the first attraction based on Encanto, which will take place on the day Antonio receives his gift. Casita will enchant furniture to move you through the house, culminating in a scene in Antonio’s bedroom, transformed into a rainforest.
➡️ A new Zootopia show is coming to the Tree of Life Theatre at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and will debut in winter 2025.
➡️ A new lounge inspired by Spaceship Earth is coming to Epcot in 2025.
➡️ A new tavern inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean is coming to Magic Kingdom in 2025.
➡️ The reimagined Test Track will open in 2025.
➡️ The first-ever land inspired by the world of Monstropolis from Monsters, Inc. is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It will include dining, shopping, and the first suspended rollercoaster in a Disney park, taking you through the laugh floor.
➡️ Frontierland will be reimagined into a new Cars land, featuring two new attractions. Construction starts in early 2025, with Robert Downey Jr. reprising his role as Iron Man for the Flight Lab attraction.

What a night from Disney Parks & Experiences! Starting with a visit from chief flight attendant Patrick Warburton and John Stamos signing “When You Wish Upon a Star,” the night was a dream come true for all Disney Parks fans! With so many amazing announcements, it’s hard to know where to start!

From the beginning, Josh D’Amaro emphasized that tonight wasn’t going to be about ‘blue sky’ projects—everything announced is actively being developed! There was also a strong emphasis on ‘newness’: new park lands, attractions, ideas, ships, etc.

Let’s get started!

⭐️ Disneyland:

➡️ Disneyland will kick off their 70th birthday celebration early! 🎉
➡️ Pandora: The World of Avatar coming to Disney California Adventure will be a new immersive land based on Avatar: The Way of Water, Avatar: Fire & Ash, and future Avatar films. It will showcase a brand new attraction that promises to be a ‘dynamic, intense, and emotional experience.’
➡️ Disney California Adventure will be getting the first-ever attraction based on Coco, breaking ground in 2026.
➡️ Walt Disney will be making his return to Disneyland with a new audio-animatronic experience coming to the Main Street Opera House called Walt Disney: A Magical Life, featuring musical accompaniment. “We had to wait for innovation to catch up with our dreams,” said Josh D’Amaro.
➡️ Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open on November 15th, 2024.
➡️ A new story featuring the Mandalorian and Grogu will be coming to Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run at both Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
➡️ 🚨TWO🚨 new attractions are coming to Avengers Campus: Avengers: Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab, with construction starting in 2025.
