Naples Italy 🇮🇹 I am so glad I went, and wish I had more time there. It was so authentic, with so much history and culture. The food was delicious, there are plenty of museums, palaces, a castle on the hill, and it's so beautiful! 🍕🍷Yes there is a lot of graffiti, but it shouldn't deter you from going because I would feel perfectly fine traveling there solo.

Today we explored the city of Naples, and also did a half day trip to Herculeum. There is SO much to do in and around Naples: nearby islands with thermal hot springs, a volcano you can hike up, Pompeii, and the Amalfi Coast! 🏰🌴🏖

If you go, invest in a good travel insurance (Stewart Travel Group provides incredible coverage😉), because crossing the streets there is an adventure 🤣

Today on our cruise we did shore excursion in Sicily! 🌴🛳☀️ Endless beaches, fields of lemon trees, and gorgeous architecture. I love Italy 🇮🇹

Day 4 of the Princess Cruise 🛳☀️ We arrived in Corfu Greece🇬🇷 and went on a hop on hop off bus around the Island. This was my favourite spot, It's so beautiful!🌸🏛 A few of the locals even gathered to wave goodbye to the ship as we sailed away.

On Day 3 of our Cruise we woke up in Montenegro 🇲🇪, and went on a Princess shore excursion to Budva and Stari Bar's ancient ruins.

Montenegro has over 80% of its landscape covered in mountains, and is SO beautiful! I can't wait to go back one day. ⛰️🌴

Day 2 of our cruise was a sea day, so we explored the ship and went swimming in the pools.

The Princess Sun has 5 pools and 9 hot tubs, so we of course had to try ALL of them 🤣

Swimming (and eating) was definitely my favourite thing to do! 🏊‍♀️ There were so many fun activities, places to shop and relax, games, and shows held throughout the ship that having a sea day went by SO quickly! 🛳☀️ What would your favourite thing be?

Began our cruise to Greece and Italy on the Sun Princess, and WOW what a ship! 🛳☀️ It's brand new and GORGEOUS.

There were events held specifically for solos, and LOTS of other opportunities to meet others (or to just relax and watch the sea go by). 🌊

✨️ Travel Tips ✨️

When traveling solo, it can sometimes be tricky to get a photo of yourself. 📸 But as solo travelers, we will always find a way to make it work! 😎

Here's a few tips for how to get that perfect solo photo!

1️⃣ Ask someone! 👋 If I see someone alone taking a selfie, I usually ask them if they want THEIR photo taken. The answer is almost always yes, and they usually offer to take yours in return! And sometimes, that can even lead to a new friend. Its a win-win!

2️⃣ Speaking of selfies...using a selfie stick is another great way to get a photo. 🤳 It might feel awkward at first, but so many people use them that barely anyone notices.

3️⃣ Use a tripod. These can be super tiny and flexible so that you can secure it anywhere. Some tripods have Bluetooth remotes that take photos from far away. Or, take a video and screenshot the photo that you want. 👀

✨️Travel essentials ✨️

There are a few items that I MUST bring with me every time I travel (other than my passport 😉). Especially to stay safe while solo traveling! My top 3 are:

1️⃣ External phone charger.📱 Prevents your phone from dying and losing access to Google Maps, e-tickets, etc.

2️⃣ SIM card. 🌐 Stay connected at all times without depending on a wifi connection!

3️⃣ Paper copies of travel documents. Just in case something gets lost (like a passport 😬) while abroad!

And as a fun bonus 🎉 ... a phone leash! With so many important things in your phone, this will keep it securely attached to you at all times! 😂

We're going to Alaska for the first time ever - now's your chance! 🐻
