From one wildfire to the next, we are grateful to be together and safe. Our base in Jasper has been confirmed to have survived. We are grateful, but still grieving for this community. Life will not return to normal for a very long time. For anyone still interested in a guided hike, consider visiting the Robson Valley for an off the beaten path adventure with . We need something to do! And, there are lots of other great things to do here: rafting, horseback riding, mountain biking, off roading, museums, art galleries, and sightseeing to name a few.

😮 So steep!! This 8 y/o girl has never climbed before and she "rocked" every climb at the crag this morning. They wanted to support a family-run business and booked with us...thank you 🙏. Always wonderful to inspire young climbers out there!

Elk and bear river crossings, two days in a row! First one was coming back from a Flowers Hike and the second was while we were Rock Climbing at Morro. Fun to see our wildlife swimming across raging rivers in June!

Jasper is full of rare orchids to be discovered! First is called "Round-leafed Orchid" and the other is called "Sparrow's Egg Orchid." Both can be found in very select places right now!

Elephanthead Lousewort! One of the coolest flowers to find in Jasper, and they started blooming today!

This was a Maligne Canyon hike, but I convinced some folks to do a little bonus hike to find some rare wildflowers, and boy, did we ever...more to come soon!

Snow overnight didn't deter these hardy souls to attempt Morro Peak with us. Turned out there was very little snow on the route, and fantastic views were enjoyed on the summit ridge!

What a winter this has been. At one point, we thought the tours were done for the season, but with a few cold nights this week, we're back inside the canyon, visiting The Queen for Easter! What a great way to finish the season!

We took 30 people serving in the Canadian Armed Forces on both a canyon walk and a Snowshoe tour this month. What a great experience for everyone involved!

The ice is thick, and the tours are happening every day right now. If you've never come with us in the spring, do it. The canyon looks so different than it does in December and January!!

This just filled up overnight 😱

Maligne Canyon works in mysterious ways. This has to be at least 6m of water that appeared in the big pothole this morning. The main areas of the canyon that we ice walk are still dry, but it will be interesting to see what happens over the next few days!

A little stroll through Maligne Canyon

After finding a weak layer during our Compression Test, we decided to do a different test to see if we could get the layer to propagate, or travel across, our column of snow. It’s called an Extended Column Test and here’s what we found…

💧The #malignecanyonicewalk changes throughout the winter due to the constant ebb and flow of water. You might not see the same thing twice! Every single Ice Walk is stunningly beautiful! 🤩

In our AST courses, you get lots of opportunity to practice companion rescue. This is Round #2 for this group. We time the rescues and then aim to reduce that time after each attempt. Great job everyone! **There are 2 spots left in our Dec 1-2 course and there’s now a NEW COURSE open for Jan. 10-11th. Reserve your spot on our website and come join us in the mountains!

Another day another ski in beautiful bluebird weather!

💦Water in Maligne Canyon is so clean you can drink it right out of the rocks! For the kids of Atikameg (Whitefish Lake First Nation) this was a very special experience today. Everyone should have access to clean drinking water as it is a right not a privilege. We call on the Canadian government and @justinpjtrudeau to do better for ALL citizens of this great country 🇨🇦
