NASTC started out with the mission of traing people for Arctic Survival. They employ primarily Inuit to teach traditional ways of surviving on the land.

In recent years NASTC has brodened its capabilities to include logistic support for Television and Film Crews as well as Adventure seekers looking for a chance to experience the arctic
