Last weekend we took a trip to Quebec City, home of the last fortified walls in North America north of Mexico!

Staying true to the Canadian winter there was a big snowstorm and our travelers had to make an unexpected stop and stay in the beautiful town of Sainte-Helene-de-Bagot. Our Tour Managers ensured that travelers were safe and comfortable. In the spirit of adventure, this slight detour allowed our travelers to connect and create bonds, setting the right tone for the rest of the weekend.

The next morning, in our proper Canadian armor (coats, toques, mittens, hats...you get it) it was time to head out and discover Quebec City. Once there, our travelers got started with a private walking tour of the city to get acquainted with the town and its history. Then it was time to enjoy all sorts of Carnival activities; We watched the amazing parade and a crazy canoe race where athletes had to row their canoes through ice!

Safe to say that traveling can be a little unpredictable! That's why it pays off booking with Round Tours! Our amazing staff handles the unpredictable while you sit back and relax. 🥰

Only in Canada will you see one of the craziest sport in the world. Back in the days, residents often had no choice but to zigzag through winter ice floes in their bark canoes to get across the river. The canoe race was a competition that was held in 1894 during the first Carnival in Quebec City.

Today canoe racing is the main event of the Carnival! Lucky for you during our trip, you will have access to see this amazing race ;)
