Botswana is always hot this time of year but we happened to come during a heat wave. By next week they’ll be back to highs of 34 instead of 39 or 40. You never know what you’ll get when you travel. We wish for rain for all the safari areas we visited on this trip. The drought is so bad and animals are suffering. As the locals say….Pula! (A wish for rain)

This morning’s game drive had so many cats!

Arrived in Botswana today and started off with a sunset game drive by boat. We were pampered with all sorts of refreshments as we sailed down the Chobe River. We came across so many elephants, a leopard lounging by the waterside, many African buffalo, giraffes, and hippos. Great day!
