Did you know we book flights only and not just vacation packages?

Quite often we have clients reach out to us who are in search of flying to a specific destination. We know that you can hop online and do it yourself but one little advantage that we have is the ability to see what all airlines are offering across the globe. We can also save you some money by seeing the benefit of flying in and out on certain dates. Donā€™t get me wrong, many of you will say you can do that too, we know you can but we hope to save you time. Our only ask is that once we find it for you that you book with us because obviously weā€™re here to make a living.šŸ’•We very much appreciate every opportunity that we get to have by booking your vacations too.

Please keep in mind that cancellation insurance is recommended with flights as we do book through a third party called Travelbrands. This is a company that is extremely reputable and common for agents to book with. Many of you might already have insurance on your credit cards or you might choose to purchase it. Please donā€™t leave us a bad google review if you have to cancel and donā€™t have insurance. šŸ«£

Our recent vacation to Honolulu is the perfect example. We found a great deal on flights well in advance and a condo the fit our needs. With that we built one of the best freestyle family vacations that we have ever experienced. šŸŒŗI would love to create this for many families in the upcoming year in the destination of your choice. Personally our family hopes to do a freestyle vacation in Vietnam next!

Our vision with travel moving forward is to get a little more picky with where we send our clients. Weā€™ve narrowed down our top All Inclusive resorts for the fall/winter of 2025/26 and weā€™re also getting extra focused on cruises and custom tours. A few companies that we work with are Contiki for our young travellerā€™s & Trafalgar or Norwegian & Princess cruise lines.

Exciting times ahead and hopefully many smiles and great memories for all. āœˆļø

I was thinking this morning about what it has meant to be a mom to our kids as they were growing up and here are a few things that I thought about.

Every school morning was never about me, it was about getting our kids off to school on time with clean clothes, their teeth brushed, a good breakfast, healthy lunch and most importantly getting them there on time. This was no easy task!

After school pick up was at 3:05 pm but as a mom you are always getting prepared for pick up between 2-3. Once you get the kids from one, two or maybe 3 different schools it's time to get them a healthy snack and off to their activities or if you're lucky you get to go home. Once you get home though you are finishing up your work whether you are a working mom or stay at home mom and then BOOM it's time to plan dinner.

Dinner is done, phew but now it's time for baths, reading, homework and bed time. Kids are down around 8:00 pm and you have about 2 hours to yourself...maybe. The next day you do this all over again and then the weekend hits and you are running again with hopes of maybe getting a morning or afternoon free to catch up on house work, laundry or baking.

The most amazing thing is that being your kids mom is the most wonderful responsibility and privilege that you will have in this lifetime. You wouldn't change a thing!

With all of that being said though we feel that if you are a mom then a deposit on a vacation for your family with Sierra Travel would be the perfect gift for you!! Share this with your kids, husband or partner to give them a little nudge and be quick because Mother's Day is this Sunday. Maybe you would love to fly to Kelowna or Victoria for a nice little weekend escape or this summer you would enjoy flying a little further into the USA. If we could send you to Paris for the week would you go? What if we told you that you would be staying in the exact hotel that we stayed in which we know we really enjoyed. All you have to do is fly there, settle in and walk everywhere for the week that you wish to explore. Personally, I would go back so I trust it would be idea for our clients too!

Here are the dates!

June 7-15 with direct flights out of Calgary (arriving into Paris on June 8,2025). One checked bag per person is included. Your hotel which has one queen bed, a balcony and breakfast is waiting for you!

This is a week that could be filled with taking the trains directly from the airport if you wish or you could keep it simple with taking a taxi to your hotel and then utilize the trains once you are rested and settled in.

The total for this adventure for two adults comes to $7360.40. This includes your flights, checked bag, hotel and breakfast. Seat selection for your flights, additional meals and activities are not included.

I thought why not advertise a great deal within CANADA as the mantra is to stay home in our own country for your holidays! Well..from what I see if you want to go to Victoria for 5 nights or Banff for 5 nights or Toronto or Halifax for two adults you better have at least $5000.00 burning a hole in your pocket!!
