On this last day of summer, here's a photo of my latest ice cream discovery: Iconoglace in the Mile End at the corner of Laurier and Clark Streets.

My choice: hard ice cream called Hard to Say made with caramel ice cream, pieces of home-made Kouing Amann, whisky butterscotch made with Sortilège maple whisky. Bliss in a cup.

En cette dernière journée d'été 2024, voici une photo de ma plus récente découverte en matière de crème glacée : Iconoglace dans le Mile End au coin des rues Laurier et Clark.

Mon choix s'est arrêté sur la Dure à Dire : crème glacée au caramel, morceaux de Kouing Amann maison, caramel au whisky à base de whisky à l'érable Sortilège. Un régal !!

Canal Lounge docked near Atwater Market on the Lachine Canal is a romantic setting for cocktails and snacks. Seating for approx. 30. No reservations. I tried the Perfect Storm cocktail: Kraken (spicy rum), ginger beer, lime. Nice way to end the day after a Little Burgundy guided tour.

Le Canal Lounge, bar flottant amarré sur le canal de Lachine près du marché Atwater, est un endroit romantique pour un cocktail et de "petites assiettes". Premier arrivé, premier servi. J'ai essayé le Perfect Storm : Kraken (rhum épicé), bière de gingembre et lime. Agréable façon de terminer la journée après une visite guidée de la Petite-Bourgogne.
