Our History

Founder Frank Wood started Wood Travel in 1983 with four locations: Crowsnest Pass, Lethbridge, Taber, and Sooke, BC. Margaret Rombough started with Wood Travel in 1988 and bought the business in 1993. Although remaining very involved in the industry, after Margarets retirement Wood Travel became a passion for Jeanette Bareman in 2014 until her passing in 2017. While Jeanette’s loss

is still felt, we would like her love for this business and clients alike to continue. It was with much excitement that in 2017 Sandra Jackson took over her coveted role as the new owner of Wood Travel. Wood Travel has always strongly believed in helping travel dreams become a reality for those we serve. As a former business owner, Sandra offers great attention to detail, a friendly and positive attitude, with client satisfaction as her motivator. Our History Starting with founder Margaret Rombough in 1993, Wood Travel had believed strongly in helping your travel dreams become a reality. Although remaining very involved in the industry, after Margarets retirement Wood Travel became a passion for Jeanette Bareman in 2014 until her passing in 2017. While Jeanette’s loss is still felt, we would like her love for this business and clients alike to continue. It is with much excitement we announce the new owner of Wood Travel as Sandra Jackson, also of Taber. Sandra has lived in Taber for 23 years and has a similar love for travel. As a former business owner, Sandra offers great attention to detail, a friendly and positive attitude, with client satisfaction as her motivator.
