As I leave Fiji, a piece of my heart remains.
Yes, this tropical paradise checks all the boxes; breathtaking scenery at every angle, pristine white Sandy beaches, world renowned diving and snorkeling, private deserted islands for brunch and photo shoots and extraordinary cuisine.
But truly……IT IS THE PEOPLE!
This country, just like the rest of the world, has been primarily closed to tourism for two years; the island’s main industry.
However, you will not hear their woes.
They are so pleased to be back strong, many resorts fully renovated and they are thrilled to return to their beloved careers.
The Fijian people all had to return to their villages, start new businesses and farm their own produce.
They are back with smiles and huge “Bula Bula” welcomes and song!
They are back to near 100% occupancy levels.
If you wish to experience a uniquely special, personalized piece of Heaven, please don’t wait.
Word travels fast. Put Fiji on your bucket list !

It is NOT possible to put into words the humbling experience you receive on arrival and departure.
The entire staff at this sweet adults only resort were waving to our boat before we were even within view.
The touching departure was the same.
If you have never experienced Fijian hospitality before, you don’t know what you are missing.
Within minutes of arrival, you ate family and everyone knows your name.

Ok, I think today might top my lifetime experiences. I am staying at the luxurious Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort in Fiji.
You know, the number one dive resort in the world.
So after a welcome cocktail, customary foot massage, private island picnic lunch, one hour Bobo body massage; I get to snorkel with the resident naturalist and marine biologist, Johnny Singh.
We took 4 of us out and pointed out all the amazing coral, fish and colourful sea life as we were mesmerized by his knowledge.
This resort is one of the top 10 in the world for families. A private nanny for each child.
Spectacular bures, private plunge pools, and spectacular cuisine.
It’s not just for divers. I feel like I’ve died and gone to Fiji Heaven.
