Rising Stars has its focus in Youth Development, Awareness, & Empowerment through Athletics, Recreation, and Education.

Our uniquely designed Player Development Programs, promote a focus on the whole athlete, while providing coaching, guidance, experience and focus in all vital aspects of athletic, sport specific, mental, and physical development. Rising Stars offers sport specific athletic performance and development camps, clinics, workshops and training programs for anyone and everyone, regardless of a

ge, gender, skill level, or athletic abilities and goals. Our focus is in Player Development and Advancement. With programs & training at both the Fundamental and Elite levels. Our state of the art training techniques and equipment assists athletes in improving all aspects of their game!

EDUCATION
‘Rising Stars will enhance, reinforce and promote awareness, while preparing youth for future leadership positions, emphasizing active participation and responsible citizenship through school and community involvement.’

Rising Stars primary objective is to assist in the overall development of youth through active engagement and positive student leadership. In the process, we also aim to educate youth in the most prominent issues they will face (e.g. bullying, drugs & alcohol, smoking, nutrition...), while raising awareness about the associated negative effects & outcomes. More importantly, we provide youth with essential tools and life skills to deal with the issues themselves! Our interactive programs assemblies, activities and workshops are guaranteed to keep students more engaged in school and community life, while inspiring active involvement, creativity and positive student leadership. We offer a variety of educational programs designed specifically for the benefit of students, schools, and communities. Each age-appropriate program is effectively designed to keep students more engaged in school and community, while inspiring active involvement, creativity and positive student leadership. Each unique program has the potential to promote the development of essential life skills, while making a positive difference in the lives of youth.

With the generous support of Hamilton Community Foundation's ABACUS initiative, the RisingStars L.E.A.D. Successful Transitions and Mentorship program organized a special end-of-year event in partnership with HWCDSB that brought together students for an early transition experience that integrated expressed extracurricular interest in Lacrosse.

Students connected with their peers from other feeder schools to Cathedral, current grade 9 students at Cathedral (trained to help facilitate the experience), teachers, and the wider community. The event showcased a current professional lacrosse player, Marshall Powless, and a legendary Hall of Fame Lacrosse Player, Cam Bomberry.

Rising Stars is a proud recipient of the Athletics Canada - Athletics for All Grant. The program is designed to remove barriers and increase sports participation for equity-deserving populations.

This creative collaboration between Rising Stars Athletics & Education, Athletics Ontario, and select HWCDSB elementary Equal Opportunities schools, provided a unique opportunity for the active engagement of identified children and youth through encouraging participation in what we consider to be one of the world's most popular and accessible sports - Athletics.

The program allowed students to establish meaningful connections to positive coaches, role models, mentors, peers, school staff, and the wider community, as they displayed a sense of confidence and developed and showcased their athletic skills, as they participated in awareness and empowerment programming, creatively aligned with the curriculum.

Indigenous Story Telling - First Peoples, Places & Things - Grades FDK-3

The oral traditions of storytelling have kept Indigenous histories and ceremonies safe for generations. This workshop engages primary students in traditional storytelling as they build vocabulary, stimulate their imagination and experience how Indigenous people connect and engage in community through story.

Rising Stars progressively trained, identified, and then brought together aspiring athletes from a selection of participating HWCDSB Equal Opportunities schools.

⚽️ This special initiative allowed for more than 75 aspiring student-athletes to be engaged in a special culminating community event that exposed them to a collection of soccer-specific role models, that together, facilitated a special series of clinics, skills, drills, activities, and athletic challenges.

A number of local coaches, former and current college and university players, and local U Sport/NCAA officials came together to provide students with a unique opportunity for development, made possible with the generous support of HWCDSB.

✨In partnership with Six Nations Parks & Recreation, this community engagement initiative empowered girls through a unique series of clinics and workshops, specially designed 'by girls for girls', and carefully combined with multi-sport development and promotion clinics.

Female role models (national, provincial, and/or elite U Sport/NCAA/OCAA athletes, coaches, Physical therapists, trainers, and officials) from Rising Stars Athletics & Education Inc., facilitated a special series of sport development and promotion clinics, complimented by engaging awareness and empowerment workshops, promoting healthy active living and mentoring young Six Nations’ girls in the process.

Through exploring their interest and by taking advantage of all the program has to offer, youth and girls learned to build and strengthen self-esteem & confidence in sports and beyond!

Rising Stars 🌟 welcomes every opportunity to work closely with Ontario’ school boards in celebrating and honouring the history, heritage and diversity of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples in Canada and around the world.

Each year, Rising Stars supports several Indigenous-focused events including Orange Shirt Day, Treaties Week, and National Indigenous Peoples Day.

Recognizing and celebrating Indigenous events will contribute to the enhancement of safe and responsive learning environments that supports the achievement and well-being of all students.

Learning about Indigenous Peoples, places and experiences is a step forward each Canadian can take on the path to reconciliation.

Track & Field – FALL 2023 - Lil’ Stars - Run Jump Throw!

Rising Stars is excited to have launched a series of Track & Field clinics in the City of Hamilton Ontario!

This was a great opportunity to get kids active, while preparing them with the foundations for Track and Field. The Lil' Stars Track & Field program teaches and develops physical literacy using track and field inspired games and challenges.

We have partnered with Athletics Ontario , and proudly follow the Athletics Canada RUN JUMP THROW PROGRAM.

This is the first time any of our programs have been officially opened to the public as opposed to internal and in partnership with schools, boards and/or First Nation communities!

LEADERSHIP & TEAMBUILDING WORKSHOP – LEAD 101

With the goal of supporting and inspiring effective leadership, Rising Stars, in collaboration with and support of McMaster University Women in Leadership (WiL) Living & Learning Community, planned and delivered a unique and carefully crafted combination of awareness and empowerment activities as part of this Leadership & Teambuilding Event.🤝

Throughout the program, essential living & leadership skills were introduced and reinforced. As registrants participated in this series of progressive workshop activities, they developed, refined and enhanced skills, tools and techniques that promote successful living, learning, and leadership within their LLC and beyond.
