We had a fantastic time hosting one of two local Earth Week events in collaboration with Airbnb!

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us for the beach cleanup today! Your efforts made a big difference.

A special shout-out to Scotch Creek Home Hardware for generously donating the supplies we needed to safely gather trash.

Huge thanks to Raven Coffee Spot for not only providing a stellar venue but also for delighting all our volunteers with delicious beverages.

Kudos to Sweet Bere Chocolate for crafting our incredible Earth Week cookies—truly a treat!

We’re grateful to the North Shuswap Chamber of Commerce for their enthusiastic support at our event.

Together, we cleaned up two of our local beaches today, and what a success it was!

As many of you may know and those who do not, it is with great sadness that we speak about the devastation that has and continues to sweep through our communities on Shuswap Lake.
On August 18th a wildfire tore through Lee Creek, Scotch Creek, Celista, Sorrento and continues to spread through our neighbouring communities. Unfortunately, many have lost their homes, their businesses and what they have worked most of their lives for.

It is after deep consideration that we now turn our directive from promoting to travellers at this time to tying to helping our community in every way possible. Due to the unforeseeable circumstances of the events that have occurred in the Shuswap region a lot of our clients will be temporarily leaving the short-term rental market so they can open up their home to evacuees who have lost their homes in the fires- on a long term basis, our clients with properties that only can operate seasonally are offering discounted rates to evacuees who are looking for temporary accommodations until they are able to return home. A few of our properties that are in areas that are not as directly affected such as White Lake and Salmon Arm will continue to operate in the short term, but we will be trying to house the workers who will be coming to our area to help us recover and rebuild.

Seasonal Escapes is dedicated to supporting our comminutes and the members who are apart of it.
