Did you know the snowshoe hare is the only rabbit species living in the Mackenzie Frontier? 🐇

❄️ Fun fact: Their broad hind feet are covered in thick, stiff hair that allows them to glide on top of the snow, like they’re wearing their namesake snowshoes.

🎿 The Rocky Lane Ag Society provides trails for both classic cross country and skate skiing. In season, the trails are groomed weekly and offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced routes. 15km of trails offer a family and pet-friendly ski experience along the Ponton River.

🎿 Far North Nordic offers over 5 km of cross country ski trails to be explored and you’ll be able to treat yourself to hot chocolate as you warm up in the clubhouse and prepare to head out for another lap.
