Attention Canadian citizens and permanent residents: It’s a crime for you and a foreign applicant to set up what’s known as a “marriage of convenience” to allow your sponsored spouse or common-law partner to immigrate to Canada.

Immigration officers know how to detect false marriages and there are serious criminal charges. Avoid scams and learn the rules for sponsoring a spouse or common-law partner: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/protect-fraud/marriage-fraud.html

EXCITING NEWS from IRCC!

In January 2023, IRCC is introducing a new 2-year temporary program to allow spouses, common-law partners, and working-age dependents of temporary foreign workers of ALL skill levels, to apply for Canadian work permits.

This will help address labour shortages in Canada AND help to reunite families - allowing more foreign workers and their families to live and work together in communities across Canada.

Contact 519-969-6789 or [email protected] for more information.

The pace of Canada’s economic recovery has made it hard for employers, including those in the tourism industry, to find the workers they need.

Important update on the Parent/Grandparent Sponsorship program!! IRCC will soon begin issuing invitations to people who submitted an expression of interest in 2020 & 2021 - keep an eye on your email (be sure to check spam folders, just in case)!

If you receive an invitation, contact our office at [email protected] for information on how we can help!

Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP) update: This week, we will begin sending Invitations to Apply to potential sponsors who previously submitted an Interest to Sponsor form in 2020: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2022/10/reuniting-families-across-the-country.html

Invitations will be sent by email over the next two weeks to randomly selected potential sponsors from the remaining pool of 2020 Interest to Sponsor forms.

If you submitted an Interest to Sponsor form in 2020 and did not receive an invitation to apply as part of either the 2020 or 2021 intake, keep checking the email address you provided on that form, including your spam and junk mail folders.

If you lost your confirmation number or no longer have access to the email address you used to submit your Interest to Sponsor form, you'll be able to retrieve your confirmation number or provide a new address once all the invitations have been sent: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/family-sponsorship/sponsor-parents-grandparents/selected.html

If you receive an invitation to apply, you must submit your PGP application electronically through our Permanent Residence Portal or the Representative Permanent Residence Portal by the deadline on your invitation: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/family-sponsorship/sponsor-parents-grandparents/apply.html
