ANNOUNCING 2025 PORTUGAL ROWING EXPERIENCE! It's been worth the wait. The expanded and updated Travel2Row Experience in Viana do Castelo in norther Portugal is ready for booking. We added an amazing row down the Minho River - begin in Spain and end in Portugal. Two dinners, a lunch and transportation for the Minho row have been added. We introduced tiered pricing - the more of you there are, the cheaper per person. This is a year-round rowing destination but spring availability is already limited. Link in the comments below!

HELLO! Hard to believe that so much time has passed and that we are already well into January. Happy New Year! I have taken an extended break from things rowing, but slowly back to preparing Travel2Row Experiences for 2025, plus the Japan tour for Rowing The World. Having consulted with past guests, updated and new Experiences will often be longer with more rowing. There will be designated dates when you can opt to join other rowers at a destination. Stay tuned and thank you for your patience!

I am in Agdz, in the south of Morocco close to the Sahara which feels about as far from rowable water as you can get. I staying at the delightful Dar Qamar. What do I find? A Concept2! It gets better. The owner is a former rower from Cahors in France, where I have many wonderful memories including of rowing on the Lot Rivef from his club! The rowing world is small indeed. Did I erg? Absolutely not. Too many others things to explore and enjoy amongst the palm trees the mountains and the kashbars.

I am in Morocco, a fascinating country. There are rowing clubs in Rabat, but I didn't get out. I did pay to try rowing one of the ferries crossing the Bou Regreg River to Salé. Standing up and facing forward. Great fun to see what looks like a reproduction of a postage stamp on a building!

It is not often that we get videos or photos of what it is like coastal rowing in bigger water. Here is a video from the recent World Rowing Tour in Cyprus (thank you Andrea Ranner). Now that looks like fun! I am curious about rowing here - maybe next year?

I got a little lost in the rabbit hole of row2k videos, and found this one. I've read the book of this expedition, watched the video. Inspirational! Not sure I am a boat builder, but I sure think that it would be wonderful to have an expedition rowing boat!
