Votre Nouveau Role

Votre équipe deviendra comme une famille et vous travaillerez aux côtés de nombreuses personnes qui ont bénéficié d'un emploi de plusieurs années chez SMS.

Le ou la titulaire du poste sera responsable d'effectuer les réparations et/ou entretiens et/ou assemblage chez le client et/ou en chantier, sur tous les produits Komatsu et autres produits vendus par Équipement SMS.

Le poste est situé à Chicoutimi, QC.

Ce dont Vous aurez Besoin pour Réussir

Vous possédez un diplôme ou une certification en mécanique d’engins de chantier ou équivalent et vous avez au moins 3 années d'expériences en diagnostique électronique et hydraulique d'engins de chantier. Vous avez aussi de l'expérience de travail sur ordinateur portable et aptitudes avancées pour l'utilisation/la recherche de bases de données.

Le ou la candidat(e) retenu(e) est intrinsèquement motivé(e) et s'engage à faire des choix sécuritaires lors de l'exécution de toutes les tâches. D'excellentes compétences en matière de service à la clientèle et de communication sont inestimables dans un environnement de concessionnaire.

Job Duties
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Heavy Equipment Technician maintains, repairs and rebuilds on mining/construction equipment on a 14x14 schedule. The position will require you to support both customers and other trades people in the resolution, component repair/rebuild, haul truck/shovel repair, and equipment assembly/repair issues in the effective troubleshooting of equipment. Other duties include installation of new parts and equipment in accordance with generally accepted industry standards, as well as, site specific best practices. Having experience in performing component failure analysis to improve the operation of installed parts and equipment will help you to succeed.

About the location:
The home base is the Whitehorse location. This is a Monday to Friday rotation.

You will possess a Journeyperson HET certification and have experience in mobile mining equipment repair and maintenance.

Heavy Equipment Technician - 14x14

Our client is a leader in the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Utilities industry are seeking a field-based Heavy Equipment Technician to join their growing team. This role will be a permanent opportunity and the successful candidate will be working a 14x14 in mining locations near Prince George, BC

Your new role
You will be responsible for working in the field service truck to perform assemblies, preventative maintenance, repairs and complete overhauls of heavy equipment servicing the mining and resources industries. You will need to be able to make recommendations and suggest methods of improvement regarding repairs.

As a heavy equipment technician, you will need to be able to think logically and keep up with changes in technology. You will interpret work orders and technical manuals to guarantee top customer satisfaction. You must be motivated and able to work in a challenging environment and have strong awareness and attitude towards workplace health and safety.

What you'll need to succeed
You will possess a Heavy Duty Technician Inter-provincial Red Seal. You will have experience in repair/maintenance of heavy duty equipment. 5 years of experience with mining size Komatsu, John Deere, CAT, Hitachi, or other brands Equipment is considered an asset, but other brands of heavy equipment in similar sizes and models will be considered too . You will bring strong written and verbal communication skills to the team.
