Salut Melfort Travel Club
Time to start planning and saving up for Melfort Travel Club 2025. We are thrilled to be traveling with VM Travel once again.
Our school calendar has not been finalized yet but here is our projection and tentative itinerary.
The following is a sneak peek of what is in store so clear your calendars for April (thinking the 18- 28, 2025). Easter is late so we will have a blast in the warm Mediterranean, Youpi!!
We will book a group ticket with Lobstick Travel out of Prince Albert, travel and cancellation insurance of about $250-$300 will be compulsory.
Proposed Itinerary outline:
April 18 - Flight from Saskatoon Barcelona via Frankfurt
April 19 - Barcelona Walking tour of Las Ramblas and the Beach
April 20 - Easter Sunday at Montserrat Mountain & Monastery
April 21 - Sagrada Familia Cathedral and Gaudi Art, then beach!
April 22 - Bus from BCN to Carcassonne's Medieval City for lunch and exploring, on to the Pont du Gard Roman Aqueduct then Avignon.
April 23 - Excursion to St. Remy Market then Les Baux Castle
April 24 - Arles to see the art of Van Gogh OR Saintes Maries de la mer, to the beach for Moules et Frites!!
April 25 - Bus to Cannes beach and site of the film festival for the afternoon, option to visit the Fragonard perfume factory before arriving in Nice. Walking tour of Vieux Nice.
April 26 - Morning at the Marche aux Fleurs to buy picnic provisions and then climb the Colline du Château and stand under the waterfall! Afternoon free at the beach!
April 27 - Excursion to Monaco, the changing of the guards and the palace in this Principality.
April 28 - Fly home from Nice Airport via Frankfurt with a same day arrival!!

- 9 nights accommodation, all breakfasts included, 5 meals incl.

**Flight prices have gone up after the pandemic as you know. This tour based on 20 paying participants would be approximately $4500 CDN, no taxes applicable.

Watch for an informational meeting to discuss the itinerary and get an idea of the number of participants. You do NOT need to be a French student to attend the meeting or join us in Europe, however, priority is given to those students if we have too many. We will discuss this at the meeting coming up in early March.
