From now until July 7, all Canadian residents can fish for free in Ontario.

Cast off the pier at Scudder Dock, wander out under moonlit skies for some shore fishing, or hop in a boat and drift off the shores of Pelee Island in Lake Erie to catch your fill of walleye, perch, and smallmouth bass!

Pelee Island is home to several turtle species including the painted turtle, blanding’s turtle, common snapping turtle and even the eastern spiny softshell turtle!

Pelee provides some of the most biologically diverse natural habitats in the Country and has one of the highest densities of species at risk including one of our turtle friends - the Eastern Spiny Softshell Turtle!
