NS Lifting of COVID-19 Restrictions-
IMPORTANT CHANGES March 21
Dear Clients,
With the impending lift of all COVID-19 restrictions in Nova Scotia, including mandatory masking, beginning tomorrow, Monday March 21, 2022 we wanted to reach out and let you know what that will look like for the clinic and your upcoming appointments. While we anticipate this elimination of restrictions will be a welcome change for a lot of you, we also know many of our clients will have understandable hesitations. As health care professionals The Massage Therapy Association of Nova Scotia has received updated COVID-19 mandates for our profession directly from Public Health which strongly suggests the continued use of masking in the clinic setting.
As of Monday March 21, masks will continue to be required in common areas of the clinic. This includes the waiting room, hallways and bathroom. However, wearing a mask once in the treatment room will be optional for patients and therapists. Anyone who wishes to have their massage therapist continue to wear a mask throughout your appointment is asked not to hesitate to request your therapist keep their mask on during your treatment and they will be more than happy to do so. The masking requirement in common areas of the clinic will be reassessed in a couple of weeks.
The door to the clinic will be open and you are welcome to come inside no more than 5 minutes prior to your appointment as to not over crowd the waiting area. COVID pre-screening questions will no longer be required, however we ask that out of respect for each other and our staff, you continue to review the posted list of screening questions and if you answer yes to any of the questions or are experiencing any symptoms of being unwell that you do not attend your appointment and reschedule for when you are symptom free.
We thank you for all of your continued support and understanding as we navigate into the "new normal" and look forward to seeing you soon!
Sincerely,
The Staff of St. Margaret's Bay Massage Therapy
