There are people who love sushi and those that don’t and they usually travel together. Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort can handle both palates just fine! With a diverse menu of sushi rolls and sashimi as well as entrees like chicken and braised short rib with a Polynesian twist, there will be no trouble finding a delicious common ground here. Plus, you really cannot beat the atmosphere of this resort hotel. It won’t be hard to convince anyone to go for a walk after dinner!

Even if pineapple isn’t your thing, Disneyland’s Tropical Hideaway has a selection of other Dole Whip flavors too. Mango, strawberry, or maybe a swirl of both? For something a bit more savory, they offer a variety of bao buns and grab & go
items to enjoy as you watch Jungle Cruise boats glide by—talk about dining with a view!

But here’s a pro tip: try to visit as the sun sets. With flickering tiki torches all around, the area transforms into a tropical oasis under the stars. It’s dreamy! Oh, and don’t forget to listen for Rosita, the joke-telling animatronic bird (who left the Enchanted Tiki Room). It’s a quintessential Disney experience!

Here’s one for baseball loving Dads! Casey’s Corner has that ballpark feel right in the heart of Magic Kingdom! From classic hot dogs and hearty chili dogs to crowd-pleasing corn dog nuggets and fries, there’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy. And don’t forget a round of (non-alcoholic) frozen mint julep lemonade, it’s so refreshing!

Oh, and while you’re digging into those delicious dogs, soak in a fantastic view of Cinderella Castle and maybe catch some live ragtime piano playing if you’re lucky!

Ka-Chow! Got a fan of Tow Mater, Lightning McQueen and the rest of the Cars gang in your pit crew? Buckle up because Disney California Adventure Park’s Radiator Springs Racers is a MUST-DO! This isn't just any ride; it’s a high-speed race through the iconic Ornament Valley that is so well done you’ll feel like you’ve stepped right inside the Cars movies.

Just a couple of pro tips to make your visit even better:
- Racers need to be at least 40 inches tall
- Ride first thing in the morning for the shortest wait
- Purchase Individual Lightning Lane to bypass the standby
line
- Smile for the photo!

Disneyland Monorail and Matterhorn Bobsleds, as well as the
opening of Alice in Wonderland with some “Did You Know”
facts:

Disneyland Monorail: Is there anything more “Disney”
than the monorail?! Pro-tip: you can ONLY ride the
monorail if you have a Disneyland park ticket

Matterhorn Bobsleds: On this thrill ride, you’ll narrowly
escape a Yeti encounter. (For Walt Disney World veterans,
think Space Mountain with an Expedition Everest vibe). Did
ya know there is a hidden basketball court inside the
mountain?!

Alice in Wonderland: This classic dark ride is an
indoor/outdoor experience that puts you inside the movie.
Definitely a must do at Disneyland!

Hey, it’s National Chocolate Ice Cream Day! Next time you're wandering around the Italy Pavilion in EPCOT, make a beeline for Gelateria Toscana. Seriously, their chocolate gelato is possibly the richest, creamiest you’ll ever have. Warning
though, it may ruin all other ice creams for you—in the best way, of course! But it’s not just chocolate they have, their menu is surprisingly extensive!

National Drive-In Movie Day is the perfect day to celebrate what we call DIVE-IN movies on Disney Cruise Line! Whether lounging on a deck chair or floating in the pool, a massive screen shows your favorite Disney flicks day and night. It’s just
like a drive-in, with lounge chairs and ocean views instead of cars and parking lots.

Pin traders, listen up! You might have your Disney pin trading game down to a science, but did you know Universal Orlando Resort is also in on the action? Yep, pin trading isn’t just a Disney thing!

Now, it’s a bit different at Universal. The trading spots are fewer, and the rules aren't quite the same (pin size is a factor), but it is a “thing” and can be a lot of fun! Plus it’s just a natural fit here since lanyards are well used by all on a Universal Studios vacation.

Talk about a FUN RIDE! Get ready to pull strings and reach for the high score at Toy Story Mania! Here are some "Buzzworthy" tips to help you get the most of this popular (typically longer waits) sharp shootin’ attraction:
- While waiting to ride, take time to appreciate you are standing in Andy’s bedroom among all his toys. The ride actually takes place under his bed.
- Make it interesting and wager that the highest scorer gets to pick something out at the Trading Post gift shop.
- This game is all about speed! Keep those spring-action shooters firing non-stop. Your arm will get tired!
- Not all targets are created equal. Keep your eyes peeled for those that are worth more points and go after those first. You'll have to be quick—some targets pop up and disappear fast!
- Don’t waste too much energy on the initial practice round and keep shooting even as you advance to the next rooms to try and snag a few last-second points.

What’s your take on Animal Kingdom evenings? Should this park have a nighttime show, or is its serene, early closure part of its unique charm?
On one hand, a nighttime spectacular with lights, music, and stories along the river could add a special finale to a day of adventure.
On the other, there’s something uniquely peaceful about Animal Kingdom winding down as the sun sets. The earlier closing time definitely respects the wildlife and honestly, gives families a more relaxed pace. When there is no option to burn the midnight oil, you tend to rest and relax at the resort more.

“The curse - it’s real!!” Well, not really, but this Universal Orlando Resort thrill ride is a fan favorite, and for good reason. Revenge of the Mummy opened in Universal Studios
back in 2004 replacing Kongfrontation (anyone else have a picture somewhere of Kong “holding” you in his fist?) and had a pretty extensive refurb in 2022. During this heart-pounding adventure you survive fire, scarab beetles, speed and backwards thrills - oh yeah, and mummies! Fun fact, it has a max speed of 45 miles per hour, but it will feel like 445 at times! (Walt Disney World vets, it’s similar to Expedition Everest, but a little more intense with the visuals.)

Time is money at Walt Disney World and nobody wants to feel like they’ve wasted any. Most Disney theme parks are a blend of amazing technologically advanced, thrilling and
sophisticated attractions mixed with some feel-good classics that represent a bygone era of simpler times and a slower pace. Tom Sawyer Island falls into the latter category and it shines! Explore mines, discover a fort, have a picnic lunch, let kids burn energy at the playground, enjoy picturesque views and just “be”, secluded from the hustle happening in every other area of Magic Kingdom. If you feel that sounds like a hard pass, then Tom Sawyer Island probably isn’t for you.

All that said...are you hopping on the raft over or make a beeline for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad?

Overheard at Disneyland: “Those canoes run on a track, right? People don’t actually have to paddle do they?” The (wrong) answer provided was: “It’s probably a track.”

I assure you, the Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes are NOT guided by a track and you do have to paddle your way (along with some new friends) around the Rivers of America. Because of this, be sure anyone going on this adventure is up for the the physical exertion and has no mobility issues. That said, this classic (and so very Walt Disney) attraction offers incredible views of Frontierland and Critter Country while providing a
serene break from the theme park action. Just maybe opt to explore Disneyland’s “wilderness” as early as you can on a summer day-there is no shade out there!

It’s no secret that we love a good character breakfast buffet around here, but let’s shine the spotlight on two of our favorite non-buffet table-service breakfast options for those who are all business about fueling up before tackling a Disney day.

Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge: Choose from menu items like waffles and omelets, but the star of the show is the all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets. While you could hop on a boat and head right over to Magic Kingdom, you might want to walk off some your meal and explore the Wilderness Lodge Resort, it’s breathtaking!

Steakhouse 71 at Contemporary Resort: Do NOT sleep on this gem! The eggs Benedict and Walt’s prime rib hash are major winners, but the seasonal pancakes will make you wish they were all-you-care-to-enjoy! Following breakfast here it’s an
easy walk over to Magic Kingdom.
