To our respected followers and viewers, good morning. We understand that today, many of you are rising with heavy hearts and tears, struggling to find words to express your grief. We are similarly affected. In response, we will devote the coming days to commemorating the extraordinary life of Grizzly Bear 399, sharing meaningful tributes, and cherishing memorable experiences.

As we gradually come to terms with her physical absence, let us remain steadfast in our resolve, fueled by her remarkable legacy, to vigorously advocate for the preservation of her species and confront the ongoing threats to wildlife and their right to life.

We ask for your continued prayers for the safety and guiding grace for her extraordinarily beautiful cub Spirit. The accident event was not in GTNP boundaries but rather several miles south of Jackson, Wyoming.

It is our prayer that Spirit's sensual acuity will help him/her navigate back to the park. Remember, Grizzly 399 has already imparted a great deal of her survival wisdom to Spirit. We have confidence that Spirit is resourceful and will apply that wisdom as he/she works through this dramatic occurance. When we receive any information we will immediately share it. Please understand it's difficult to respond to the hundreds of comments, and questions. We carry your hearts in ours. 💔 Michelle-Admin

Over the last 24 hours I’ve sold quite a few prints of this photo of 399, so I’ve decided that for the rest of October, 100% of profits made on sales of this photo will be donated to Vital Ground, a Montana-based nonprofit dedicated to protecting grizzly bear habitat and reducing human-bear conflicts.

Grizzly 399 has blessed me with many memories, friendships, and more over the years. She has been a steward for her species. Her death should not be in vain. If these donations can save even one bear’s life, they mean something.
