I’m so in awe about this setting from “Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace” in the middle of the Tunisian desert. 🙌🏻
What seems to be a mirage is a real set of dwellings that were built in 1997 to embody the neighborhood of Mos Espa - a spaceport of the Tatooine planet and according to Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) “a haven for those that don’t wish to be found”.

Thank you Philip and Susan for touring Tunisia 🇹🇳 with us. We’re so glad you got to experience so much of Tunisia’s history, culture and natural beauty in just 8 days!

“Susan and I enjoyed our tour of Tunisia. Mohammed and Ramses were an excellent guide and driver team and both made us feel safe and comfortable. The Toyota Prado was a good choice for a spacious vehicle that could also handle a little offroading to see the Neck of the Camel near Tozeur in the South. The roads in Tunisia are very good compared to some we have been on in other countries.

We felt like we experienced a taste of the country, by spending 8 days traveling from Tunis to the Sahara and back. The pace was good for us, in that we are not trying to exhaust ourselves seeing absolutely everything like some travelers.

We would certainly recommend Mosaic North Africa to anyone we meet or know who wants to go to Tunisia.”

Beautiful white buildings with blue accents are not unique to Greece. Sidi Bou Said is an inviting cliffside town 30-minutes' drive from downtown Tunis. Enjoy a coffee and bambalooni (Tunisian fried donut) while you take in the fantastic views of the Mediterranean.

Anybody agree with me about how poor movie posters are nowadays? They used to be an intrinsic part of the film promotion and would command a lot of thought, creativity but above all the talents of a supreme artist. Now it seems it's an afterthought Photoshop job in a lot of cases.

Petit aperçu des premiers jours 🇹🇳 départ vers le sud après une première nuit chargé en aventure, une nuit dans un hôtel star wars ⭐️ et une traversée des montagnes sur une route magnifique ⛰️ avec en prime une sortie trail à chenini 🏃‍♂️on rajoute à ça les deux têtes blondes déchaînées 😅. Kairouan is a town known for its quality handmade rugs and varied designs inspired by different parts of Tunisia 🇹🇳. A rug shop was used in Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark as the 'Marhala Bar' while Indy was in 'Cairo' 🇪🇬.
