Wishing you all the best Christmas and a relaxing/fun break (whichever you would wish for).
The fireplace has been designed with a ledge for paintings to casually lean and the still life in the kitchen should sit high over the peg rail. I need to return with a drill and dear Malcolm to plaster the fireplace.
The hand painted headboard design is coming along nicely. The Swiss design a collaboration with #hellopeagreen
Time for more apres ski cake. Thank you to #lafetefleurie for the cake and thank you Kathleen hills for designing those lights!
Sonnenhof-Juliet and the balcony- very nearly dressed and guest ready. If you’d like a slice of Swiss luxury you can book Sonnenhof-Juliet through Allalin Apartments. They also manage the apartment below.
We are getting somewhere but missing vitals….Bed fixings, sofa cushions and curtain sliders 😬
No cats were harmed during the filming,…. despite Otto’s best efforts. I fancied adding a Swiss flavour to the dresser with a deep red. Adding the painted scalloped detail was quite a task especially with Otto wanting to be involved every step of the way. Unfortunately he jumped up and wiped a length of freshly painted shelf with his beautiful fur, (head, back and tail)! Luckily a speed wash with a wet sponge sorted it. Poor Otto!! #scallops #scaloppededges #paintedfurniture #painteddresser #red #reddresser #matildagoad

Progress report as the structure for the carcasses are being fitted into place, and panelling + work surfaces are installed in the bathrooms too. 🙌
Waking up to a brass band in Saas-Fee this morning. 😮🎺🥁🥁🥁
Handover day tour… only equalled in excitement by the day the nice Swiss bank man, ‘…he say yes’ (to the purchase!) 🙌 still so much more to do over the next few weeks but exciting all the same.
A gentle walk in the snow, spotting Sonnenhof from afar. Can you spot it
Our love affair with Switzerland began a few years back with this trip to Pontresina. I loved the decorative details on the historic buildings. I will try and incorporate these into the interior somehow but I’m not quite sure how yet. It’s good to look back for inspiration.
